  1. I'd like to receive the last Team Fishur geocoin so I could be envied by most other cachers in the area who DON'T have one of your coins.
  2. Hey, I used to play both baritone and alto saxes. (No, not at the same time, smart alecks!) IIRC, you could hide quite a stash of caching supplies in the baritone case, and in the bell of the sax as well. While on trips we used to use my bari case as a card table. Who knows? You may be able to smuggle a caching buddy along in that monster case. Just watch out at customs!
  3. I've been looking at that site on and off. The guy that's been working on the site has been at it for a while. He's trying to get it as user-friendly as possible, but it's taking some coding to do so. Hope it all works out as he has planned. S-4-C
  4. Any interest in trading for a Conejo Cachers, Georgia or Calgary coin? Let me know, S-4-C
  5. I have no problem with the the wait. Sure, sooner is better, but you can't control the production process. As long as we're notified that we can purchase them when they're available I don't see a problem. Thanks for the update.
  6. Following up on my last post, I found another stash of items that were stored away that I was able to "rescue" for caching purposes. Unfortunately, I had to pay to acquire these items, but they appealed to me so I picked them up. Here's a link to the pic: Medallions As noted in my last post, I'm open to trades for these items for geocoins or sig items that I don't already have. If there's no interest I'll just use them for trade items in local caches. Message me if you're interested. Thanks, S-4-C
  7. Got mine in yesterday's mail. Great job. Thanks, S-4-C
  8. This LINK will save others having to hunt the bug down. Glad I won't have to be toting that one in the woods around here anytime soon. S-4-C
  9. I came across a trade item bonanza yesterday. One of our former business entities used to handle promotional items such as custom embroidery, specialty printed items, lapel pins, etc. While cleaning out one of the old office spaces I ran across a box full of lapel pin, keychain and medallion samples. I have more cache loot than I can possibly trade for quite some time, and it was all free! Some of the items are the tokens in this picture: Token Samples I figured if someone out there wanted to swap a token for one of these we could both come out happy. If there's no interest I can still use them for trades in local caches. There's a couple of them that are pretty nice. If you see something you like, message me about a trade. Thanks, S-4-C EDIT: I forgot to note that the back of most of these items is blank. I don't know if this is a good or a bad thing, but I wanted to be sure to make it known.
  10. Got my order today. Can't wait to set up a few more trades, though I'm saving a few to drop in caches. S-4-C
  11. Just got my second order of GA coins today. If anyone is looking for a trade, let me know. I currently have the following: Alabama '04 Calgary (on the way) California '04 Canada CKayaks Conejo Cachers Facedances Georgia HaberCacher Idaho Michgan (MIGO) ND & BB Pennsylvania '04 Texas '05 Trez's Aztrez Treasure Trez's Pirate Trezure Washington '04 West Tennessee (GOWT) I'm open to offers for any coins I don't currently have. Thanks, S-4-C
  12. pghlooking: I understand that the second batch of coins only arrived a few days ago. It may be taking the person in charge of distribution a little while to arrange all of the mailers and such. I imagine that quite a few will be mailed tomorrow (just my opinion, not a fact) since that will basically be the first weekend after the coins have been received. I'm thinking that anyone with a full-time job probably doesn't want to come home after work and start sorting, packing and addressing coins. If it helps, I haven't received mine either. I'll try to get in touch with a local who is associated with the coins and let him know you're trying to get some information. S-4-C
  13. Did you take your frustrations out on your laptop?!? I deal with shipping parcels every day, so I can understand the frustration. S-4-C
  14. Well, seeing as I've been bitten by the coin collecting bug, I'd be interested in two of each coin. That'll give me one to keep and one to swap. I could be interested in more, but I beleive that would depend on the coin. S-4-C
  15. I have yet to be disappointed with any swaps I've set up with a fellow cacher. I thought I may have had someone get the better of me recently, but found out some personal problems had prevented their getting the trade item in the mail. As noted earlier, save copies of all correspondence and follow up. Don't hesitate to ask the other person what has happened. Good luck, S-4-C
  16. I had a bluebird house I used as a cache box on this cache. Instead of covering over the hole with black metal or plastic, I inserted a film cannister in the hole and covered it with a squirrel guard. If someone looked at the house they could literally see into the hole, but it was so dark that they couldn't tell that the hole wasn't very deep. Very handy in a high-traffic area. Until the box was opened the person looking for the cache wouldn't really know for sure if the birdhouse was the cache box. At my wife's sugestion I burned in the GC.com logo on the hinged side so it would be a little more obvious to a cacher. S-4-C
  17. Rupert2, Just sent you an email about a trade for a Georgia coin. S-4-C
  18. Hmmm. Those look mighty familiar. I might have used them myself. S-4-C
  19. Hey, I collect sig items! I just haven't been to as many caches as you, AG. Whatever is decided is fine with me. I'd like one of the coins, but I'm not going to get in a bidding war. I only have a few extra sig items to part with. S-4-C
  20. Facedances: I'll trade you a Georgia coin for one of those. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks, S-4-C
  21. Well, I couldn't think of any other word that was more easily twisted by others in the forums. I knew it was only a matter of time before somone jumped on it. Thanks again for the trade, Dave. - Mark (S-4-C)
  22. Just a quick note of thanks to the people I've set up trades with so far. I still have a few trades up in the air right now, but I have completed trades with Nurse Dave and Team Nazgul. In both cases the coins were in the mail quickly and packaged carefully. Snail mail took a while from one coast to the other, but the coins arrived in great shape. I would recommend trades with either of these members. Thanks again to everyone who who has traded (and are setting up trades) with me. I appreciate your help in getting my sig item collection to grow. Regards, - Mark (S-4-C)
  23. Not telling my wife (Penny Wise) that I've spent over $100 to purchase geotokens in the last month. "But honey, they're GREAT trade items! I might even be able to get one of the personal geocoins I've always wanted by using these." We'll see. We reconcile the bank statement in a few days. I may be banned from the forums for a while... S-4-C
  24. Depending on the per unit price, I'd like to change my order from 'two to trade' to 'two to purchase'. Just need to know how much they'll be. Looking forward to seeing the pricing once you decide how they will be handled, who will distribute, etc. S-4-C
  25. The best place I've been able to find information regarding geocoins is in THIS thread. Scroll down to the comments about Fishur's site or about Nurse Dave's colection. Either one will give you an idea of what is out there. I hope you have some luck getting the items you want. There's a lot out there, but most are in high demand. I've laid my hands on several GA coins specifically for trading for other state or signature items. S-4-C
