and they are labeled with the wrong cache-type since both are mystery-caches and not multi-caches:
-
YES - It's absolutely acceptable since this is only a game

beside 2-5 ticks per month I fell of a tree once while hiding a stage of a nightcache. Also I was about 6 meters above the ground I only ended up with some bruises since I used my climbing gear up there.

(Cache Types) so definitely a multi ...

- As the guy searching caches I only log a smily if I touch the logbook. And yes: eventcaches have logbooks in Germany. - As the owner of a cache I'm fine with a smily as long as the cache is checked and ok. A smily is states that you can go for the cache.

If you can find the cache only with the GPSr and the description it's a Multi-Cache (offset Cache). If you have to solve a riddle before leaving home or do some other homework it's a Mystery or puzzle caches. Mission Echo is a real 4/4 Cache. It took me 5 months to find the right location and another 2 months to build it. If you want further details send me a mail.

How Do I Change The Backround On A Cache Page?
º replied to Chaz's topic in General geocaching topics
If you want to find Mission Echo the description isn't needed - you only need the first waypoint. But this is OT anyway since I only wanted to show what is possible. -
Not really - then it's only about mathematics and still no problam at all. btw.: the cache is a little bit too far away for me ... I'm located at N 48° 24.691 E 011° 28.335 Edit: If you make it a short offset-cache the problem is solved
-
It's only mathematics or trial and error: N 41° 14.778 W073° 09.570 (no I'm not a PM and I don't have access to PM account)

Got another question for you Jeremy: What ist the cooperation with the German site Cacheatlas about? They announce that they're officially supported by Groundspeak but what does it mean? I guess it's just some kind of a business agreement but that's just a guess Do they get data from you via an interface? (I know there are a few people in Germany who are quite upset about the restrictions to get data from gc.com -- e.g. geocaching.de -- but in my these guys simply don't understand that traffic causes costs) thanks Philipp

Should Private Caches Be Allowed?
º replied to Shaggy of Mysteries Inc's topic in General geocaching topics
No (I don't care whether small, tiny, sweet kids are involved or not) -
If anyone wants to spoil offset, multi or mysterycaches he should set-up his own website with the final coordinates but submitting a second cache with the coordinates is against the idea of multicaches.

It is illegal in most parts of Europe to possess things which look like military arms or military ammunition ... so I stand by my post. Sorry to keep it that clear but if a geocacher gets caught at an European airport with that TB he is in SERIOUS trouble! edit: spelling

I plan to release a cache soon and I'll offer to stay within radiorange for the first geocacher - here in Munich PMR (Private Mobile Radio) is quite widespread

No Snowboarders around here? So I did 83 km/h which is about 51 mph with a Nitro Shogun 168. Since the resort (Davos Switzerland) was a little bit larger, we devided into two groups both with GPSr and radio - that was really handy cos it wasn't very hard tfind to other group.
-
Hope I'll get it soon - it's already ordered: IPAQ Rugged Case: Specs It's a little bit large but who cares ...
