  1. well i am still trying to decide on what unit to buy. i like that this one has maps at no extra cost. how is it for geocacheing and routing? also considering the gpsmap 60csx. any good info is much appreciated. i have read about 1000 reviews over the 2 this weekend.
  2. i have a solor batt charger so that is not an issue but thanx for looking out and pointing that out
  3. i read about it at a doctors office waiting for the results from some test my wife had done. i didn't have a gps and did not get one till a few months later. once i did and got out and tried it i was hooked.
  4. well i have decided that the pn-40 is probably out of $$$ range. i am so confused on what unit to get. i had a explorist210 and it died so magellan is sending me a triton 300 for free. do i keep it or sell it and get a new one? it will be for cacheing traveling and hiking thru places like the grand canyon, yosimite and yellow stone. please help me. i have read over 1000 reviews for the pn-40, 60csx, 60cx, and the oregons. i am mind blown right now!!
  5. i will be using it for cacheing as well as hiking and traveling. some friends and i go on a week long hike every year so it will go as well. last year we did a 75 mile hike thur yosimite and used my explorist 210 and it worked ok but had some problems with sat recp and tracking. i have been a gps user for about a year and a half so i am ready to upgrade. i will also use it for work sometimes. any advice is welcome.
  6. does anybody have one and do you like it? i am trying to decide between it and a gpsmap 60cx
  7. does it show you the hint if u need it?
  8. does it show the cache info page like the colorado and oregon series does
  9. It mean the unit has a "Geocaching Mode" on it. Setup will allow it to interact with the units calendar and use Geocaching icons. I found it much easier to use than custom waypoints. You can look at this thread to get a better answer to Geocaching Mode. thank you
  10. can u put the cache page on it. they say they are geocaheing friendly, what does this mean??
  11. i have a bag that always goes with me. is has a small led flash light, cammo duck tape, extra blank logs, my travel log book, empty cache containers, spool of green flower arrangement wire, band-aids, leather man tool camera, batteries, and i took an old solar light and stripped it down to just the battery housing and the solar panels. (i can leave it on the dash or take it with me. i used it during a week long hike thru yosimite and only took 6 rechargeable batteries. it keep my cam and gps going the whole time i was there.) there is also some baby wipes for cleaning muddy sappy or what ever hands and cleaning wounds.
  12. where is the best place to get one??
  13. i am thinking about it or the oregon200 or 300. i am expecting a triton300 any day now to replace my exlporist210
  14. why does every body love the unit?
  15. my explorist210 died on me and Magellan is replacing it with the triton300. kinda scared due to the fact i can not find any good reviews for it. should i sell it and get a garmin? please give me some feed back.
  16. i owned an explorist210 for less than a year and it froze up when i tried to update using their web site. after going round and round with tech support they finaly told me to just send it to them and they would send me a new triton300 for free. well cool but all the reviews i have read on the tritons scare me. i am thinking i will sell the triton as soon as it gets here (if it ever does, been a week now) and buy a garmin gpsmap 60cx.
