  1. Ok I got my GPS today and as a bonus my map cd's which weren't suppossed to be here until tommorow showed up also. I did manage to get out and get a couple of micros tonight. What an awesome GPS. I can't believe how fast it gets a sattelite lock. I booted my Legend up and the new one at the same time and the 60 had a lock almost instantly. Not knocking my Legend it's a great unit as well. I needed something that could do the autorouting that's why I got the 60. Now if I could only sneak in a few caches this weekend. LOL.

  2. My GPS Map60cs is supposed to be delivered tommorow. The worst part is I have to work and won't get home until between 5:30 to 6:00 at the earliest. This is worse than when I was a kid waiting for Christmas morning. The next kicker is I have to work all weekend so I can't even break it in then. Oh well thanks for listening to me vent.

  3. Riddlers you are really close to getting the tadpole designation to disappear. I think it goes to geocacher after that unless you become a premium member.

  4. wear long pants light colored like khaki hiking boots and preferably a long sleeved khaki shirt and use plenty of bug spray. I find that deep woods off works pretty good but you have to really apply it and take it with you in your pack. I was bit by a tick last year luckily no lyme disease.

  5. that's a bummer I've never had to worry about it. I actually found a cache last year that was placed in poison ivy, I knew this from some of the logs and when we found it I walked in and got the cache while my brother and sister stood where there wasn't any. I hope this isn't common I would really hate to have to worry about that in addition to the ticks and muggles.

  6. My question is this. I've ordered a Garmin GPS Map60cs and Garmin City Select V5. Any weird problems I need to know about making this work? I figure it comes from Garmin so it should be ok but I've never used the autorouting maps before so I would like to know if I'm in for a big headache or not. Thanks for any replies.

  7. Thanks for your replies. I've had my Legend for almost a year andit's a great GPS. When I bought it I wanted the Vista but couldn't find one in stock locally. After reading all the replies on this thread and my other one I decided to get the best and go from there. I just wanted to say thanks again and I'm closing this thread.
