  1. Can I get on the list for this coin? Me mum was from England (Nottingham) and came over as a warbride. I have visited 3 times but never as a geocacher. Wish I had known about it the last time there. Anyhow, I will email my address and paypal info. thanks. Steve Allen aka MO Pirate
  2. I am writing everyones name down so when they come in I will email you all. Thanks for the interest. The Amelia Earhart Museum in Atchison wants to use this design for their t-shirts! How cool is that. I think I will get one to wear and advertise my coins ! If you get by Atchison, KS stop by and see her house. really cool place with nice architecture too.
  3. Please remember that when a minted coin is sold the person/company selling them make more than what mo pirate is making in profit. He also has to advertise, pay for the packaging material and his time. Plus he also paid an artist to create his design. We have had a number of cachers create their own trackable coins and then sell them with the average price being $8-10. The detail which the laser allows is incredible and extremely fine lines show in full detail. Each person is allowed to make a decision based on their preferences to the design etc. as some of the coins we have made are in great demand due to the intricate design while others prefer the message of the coin. To each his own... Thanks Beverly for the explanation. I don't remember if the trackable price was included or on top of the production price but either way the profit is a lot less than that tank of gas you just bought! LOL Steve aka mo pirate
  4. I already changed the name at activation process. But at "Your public profile - Tackables" the original name is shown. This must be fixed by Groundspeak. I am sure they will do that quickly. I hope it is done quickly as I know I did not do it. It is funny how mistakes are made! LOL
  5. Pete is checking to make sure it comes thru correctly. I looked at my personal coin and sure enough mine was wrong too but I was able to Edit the name so I made the spelling correction myself. Look for the change soon or you can change the name that comes thru by just doing an edit of the name. thanks, MO pirate
  6. I am not sure how that happened as I have always spelled it Hindenburg. Someone there at Groundspeak must have entered it wrong. Not sure how that gets fixed as it is beyond my fixing. Maybe someone at Direct Mint sent it over wrong. I will ask Pete. thanks.
  7. I hope the real coin will look better than the art but here is the art. She will be in 3D. with the rest in 2D. and the other side is:
  8. I have a new historic coin in production. It is the 75th anniversary of Amelia Earhart of Atchison, KS who went missing in her around the world flight attempt with her navigator, Fred Noonan on July 2, 1937. Not sure these will be ready or done by July 2 but shortly thereafter. You all can add it to my other historical coins such as the Pony Express Sesquicentennial, the 100 year Titanic, the 75th Anniversary of the Hindenburg and so on. It will be a 2 inch coin by 5 MM in antique copper with a pathtag to go with it as a set. The pathtag does not magentize to it but is a separate piece.
  9. I thank you for your input. I hope I can return the favor someday! Did you mention my free shipping? Or did you figure a 50 cent piece for that? Have a wonderful day!
  10. I am afraid you are mistaken in cost. It is right for the coin cost but the set up is $45 for front and back set up charge. and then shipping is $27 more dollars. Now re-figure it and see what I am making on it for my trouble.
  11. Well, I guess the anniversary coins of mine (TITANIC and HINDENBURG) are now past so I have a new coin for the WORLD. It has a white dove on the front with "believe in peace" under it. On the reverse is the COEXIST symbol with the "track at geocaching.com and code. These are 1.75" coins and 5mm thick (I think). There were only 50 made in Purple and only 50 made in blue. (Your choice) Anyhow, there are a few on ebay if you would like to get one or email me at packerbacker31@hotmail.com $10 with free shipping in US if you tell me you found this on geocaching.com. SEE PHOTO. and thanks, MO Pirate.
  12. Here is a link to a news article about today and some of the facts about the disaster. One of the passengers is still alive in Colorado! visit this link- http://www.mycentraljersey.com/article/20120506/NJNEWS10/305060019/Hindenburg-Disaster-Few-still-alive-from-day?odyssey=nav%7chead
  13. i'm very pleased with my satin silver geocoin...another great job ! Thank you sir! Today is MAY 6 so today IS the 75th Anniversary. Wonder if they will show the movie?
  14. Here is the actual photo of the antique silver compared to the satin silver and the placement of the tracking info. thanks for the question. Steve Allen aka mo pirate
  15. This weekend is the date (May 6, 1937-2012) for the Hindenburg disaster. I still have several of each finish (SS and AS) for you at $20 set in your choice of finish. email me at packerbacker31@hotmail.com or for paypal payment.
  16. Thank you! Now are you ready for a Hindenburg set?
  17. I've got to say...... Those Hindenburgs are NICE!!! May 6 is the 75th Anniversary date!
  18. These are the final design photos as the other pics were forerunners of the process to get to these finals. thnaks, Mo pirate
  19. It is the 3" x 9MM coin and a pathtag as a set. The coin is a model of the airship so no anniversary info is on it. The pathtag has the wording to show the 75th anniversary May 6, 1937 and the Hindenburg name in german script. It is a scene of the disaster. thanks for asking. If you just wanted the coin it is $18. thanks, MO Piraye aka Steve Allen
  20. Hi, just wondering what the Icon will be? Should be front part of the airship
  21. Great pictures! I think they look just great! Am I biased? mo pirate

  25. The coins are in and look great! Nice details of the cabins and control basket and engines. I have them in Antique Silver and Satin Silver finishes. The pathtag comes with it as a set for $20. The coins are a huge 3" long and 9MM thick so they are quite impressive. email me please at packerbacker31@hotmail.com with your paypal email invoice address and quantity/finish desires. Thanks again, Steve Allen aka mo pirate
