  1. As a cacher who realy likes finding Geocoins, and one that gets exited by all those different ones I see in the wild. I have never released a coin of myself into the wild. I do have 2 traveling, but those are made from Fimo Clay where I used the trackable number of the coin. So the coins are at home in my collection. :) (I call those Trackables, not geocoins)

Since I am graduated now, and since I have a job. I am going to try sending out a Geocoin myself as well. I hope she does travel far and long. Since I heared Europe is still a relative safe place for Geocoins. :P

I choose this Dutch themed coin, that is pretty but still relative cheap.

Also the Silver version of this coin is the first geocoin I bought for myself, but that one is sold out.

    Theme: Famous Dutch writer

(She is going to collect pictures of herself on travels.)

    I am exited already!

I hope she will do some good traveling, if she doesn't I probebly will not release another one anymore. But I definitly want to try since I do always enjoys coins from other people that I have seen traveling. :)

Best of luck on your travel thru the geocaching world!

  4. Hey all -

Re-entering the Geocaching world after a little absence, so I thought I would play along with this one.

My Top 5 Most Wanted (for purchase, as my Geocoins have long been given away!)

    1. Pax - Aussie Fire Breather Edition - Tsun

    2. Earth Turtle Oceania: Bora Bora - - Lets face it . . .Earth Turtles - ALL - Tsun

    3. The Waldgeist is Watching! - Antique Silver on Antique Copper

    4. "RDMH" version of the Australia 2007 geocoin (shiny nickel / copper)

    5. 2012 Geocoinfest Gold Mining Pan

I think I might have an extra gold mining pan or two. What ya got for trade?

  5. I guess I better start making new album pages before I release this mammoth geocoin. So far the Post Office said they love it! Maybe I will only be able to sell them in person so the shipping will not matter?!?!

Maybe I will release them at GeowoodstockXXII or maybe wait for Geocoinfest in Houston?? What do you think?

    Does SIZE matter?

    More later.

Of course it matters ... what size WILL the cost be ... ?? ...

If you want to know what I think ... I 'think' you need to send me samples so I can let you now for sure ... :P

You should also do it NOW... no vacation til GCF for you ... we love your coins too much to wait that long ... :D

I am hoping to keep cost down at $20 or so.

  7. Now is a good time to plan your next challenge completion. Got the Winter time blues? Take some time now to plan your completion of a nice challenge cache. I have one to offer. Upon completion, you will have seen some of the most wonderful countryside around. You will think in amazement about how this lonely, exciting, dangerous trip (of the past)is somewhat like the geocaching adventures are today! These cold snowy days will give you time to plan how to fulfill the requirements (bookmark lists provided on cache page)of this wonderful challenge. It is not that hard but the time and distance do factor into it. When you complete it you get your caching name on the "Wall of Fame" listed on the cache page AND "thats not all!" I also place your caching nameplate on the plaque which hangs in the National Museum. You too will also go down in history with your brave endeavor to complete the chore!

Now you do not have to be young, wiry, skinny (orphans preferred) to engage in this trip. Only about 15 or so have so far completed it. Many do not know about it. Those folks who have completed it will attest to it being one of the best challenges (if not the very best) to do. So go plan it out, strap on yer saddle, and had out! (please wait for better weather as Donner Pass can just eat you alive right now!)

Go check out the info on the cache page! GC1PRHM

    email me with any questions.

    thanks,

    Steve Allen aka MO Pirate

Mission Sent: Dec. 3/12 Santa himself has deliver it!

Mission Received: Dec. 22/13 probably before that date but this is when it was in my hands :D

Well we have arrived at our winter destination and there waiting for me was my Mission package from mo pirate (a first time participant in these missions). Received a wonderful card, a personal tag and War Pony and tag, a huge coin, a huge wonderful coin :D and one I did not have. For a first timer you did marvellously, I love it. We couldn't bring all our decorations down here but Ki did manage to sneak a few by me so I'll post a picture with the mission near our tree. Ok it's small but as you can see I can still place presents under it :P

Thanks again for the completed mission Steve and Claire thank you for hosting these missions (I think this is some kind of a record for participants :o )

Happy Holidays everyone - be safe out there! B)

I am glad the tree was bigger than the coin! LOL I am also glad you did not already have this one as you do have most all of mine......

    Merry Christmas Ted

  10. Look pretty cool! BUT I can see any of these in a cache being the missing toy some child had to have and parents thinking it was swag! Just my opinion. I remember my McDoanald HAMBURGLER figurine was one of the first travel bugs missing probably because some kid thought it was just a toy to take from the cache. Who looked to see the Dog tag on it!
