  1. Are the files online right now?

I can't seem to get th eDL to start at all..... just a blank zip file

Alrighty, I "uninstalled" my Beta version and have started the ISO download. Right now it's clicking along at anywhere from 250KB - 350KB / second.

EDIT: I checked this morning and showed completed but it only pulled down 242MB. Trying again....

I am having the same problem.

Just tried to download, and all I get is a zip file that is empty.

Tried Firefox and IE, both failed.

  2. I have a new Garmin 60CSx, and I wanted to load some topo maps, but in looking at the viewer on Garmin's site, the maps look terrible. So, I read a site about making my own for upload, but can't download the data to my computer, after many tries and lots of frustration. That said, I am sure people have made Garmin topo maps for many areas before, so are they loaded anywhere to browse and download?

    Hello Haymarket,

If you are interested in Canadian pre-made topo maps try this link:

    http://www.ibycus.com/ibycustopo/

On the web page just download the TopoMaps12.exe file (1.13GB).

This is an installation file that installs Canadian topo maps to view in MapSource.

    It's realy good.

  4. Hi to all! First I want to thank Ibycus for his great work :P

    Now to my problem:

I am new to this GPS stuff, but am thinking of buying a Vista HCx.

Anyways I downloaded the TopoMaps.exe and tried to install.

The problem is that it stops installing at about 75-80% (10830907.img) and a screen pops up saying that the "source file is corrupted".

I downloaded the TopoMaps.exe again and the same problem occured but at an erlier point in the installation(maybe about 40%)

I downloaded a 3rd time and the same thing.

I also have a Mapsource software installed.

Could the TopoMaps.exe really be corrupted or could it be something in my computer?

Has anybody else had a simmilar problem? What could i do?

    Any help is apresiated!

Great work once again! Keep it up!

    :P

I would try clearing your internet cache. I believe (correct me if I'm wrong here) that if you don;t clear your cache, that it doesn't actually d/n a fresh copy.

Thanks for the help. I cleared all my internet cache, downloaded a new copy of the TopoMaps and this time installed with no problems :( I can see the maps now :(

    Thanks very much!
