  1. Thanks! Just thought I'd have a little fun here and took the chance of using the photo without getting permission from you. :) I took the closeup picture of the bike in photo two and took out the pooch in photo one!

Riders face more hazards than drivers, so PLEASE give them more room!

  2. OH...and as a bonus, whoever can tell me what I did today (and be specific here), I will award them a coin as well!!!

This is Dreet's story told by my son.

I got Dreet when I was about 2 years old, and I played with him until I was about 4 years old. One year we went to Florida and I buried him under the sand while I was playing with him. Moments later, when I tried to dig him up, he was gone. The tide had taken him. I was so upset about losing Dreet. Years later, my parents found a person in Oregon selling a toy that looked just like Dreet. So my parents bought him for me. Now he will again roam as a travel bug.

  4. I purchased the Garmin Legend last week. Found a couple of caches over the weekend but found this to be true on my basemap as well. Drove 50 miles to work yesterday and noticed I would cross back and forth over the interstate. Got to work and the map showed me on the wrong side of a major highway! But I did locate a cache within .3mi from where I parked!

I even uploaded the most recent software from the Garmin site and also chose "lock to road" in the menu.

  5. I also found my first cache today! We were 2 for 4 so don't feel bad. Even spent time looking for a virtual cache... thinking it was hidden somewhere.

Lots to learn and look forward to the adventure!
