Bomb Squade Called For Local Cache
Shoobie & the Sand Crabs replied to eddthejailer's topic in General geocaching topics
That is a littl interesting -
OK smart arse. I presume you are a fat Yank sat there stuffing his face with burgers and coke. I looked there first, and there is nothing that answers my question. So big head, would you care to point out just where all the information I asked for can be found. Remember, Uncle Sam, this is a section for beginners, and if everyone has an attitude like yours you won't get many more. Try and be helpful, once you lot have taken over the world. Yanks make me puke. Is there anyone out there who has any sort of sense? Don't call me a yank I'm from the shore that does not make me fat.

Being from the shore I thought Shoobie & the sand Crabs was cool ( A Shoobie is somebody who wears socks and sandals at the same time as well as numerous other things as well.) You kinda have to be from the shore (Jersey)to understand it. -

http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...tionless+caches heres my own topic I started about locationless caches it started a big argument but i think it was okay. Anyways I think the answer is because locationless caches soon got to be pretty stupid and there was no fun to them except to pick up your numbers so you can't make em and so your stuck with what you got

Cache Packing Issue
Shoobie & the Sand Crabs replied to ju66l3r's topic in General geocaching topics
geoSquid Posted: Aug 30 2004, 03:58 PM Actually, you could place at least 114. Square packing is not the most efficient use of space. Try hexagonal packing of the caches. cachew nut Posted: Aug 30 2004, 04:29 PM ju66l3r Posted: Aug 30 2004, 05:11 PM cachew nut Posted: Aug 30 2004, 08:12 PM Either I'm not following you, or your formula is screwed up. In a 11 x 11 matrix you can fit 121. Using your method, I could only fit 126. See the two examples below. I think you meant to say 6 rows of 10 circles. In other words, I can't get the 23 rows you speak of. In the examples shown, the blue box represents one square mile and the circles are 528 ft in diameter. The blue boxes are the same size, but the lower photo is slightly larger, thus it appears bigger. Fireman78 Posted: Aug 30 2004, 09:15 PM Total geek thing well i geuss thats geocaching -
