[Garmin Etrex data cable]

Hi all,

First post, so please be gentle!

 

I have a Garmin etrex, and want to connect it to my laptop - are there any compatible data cables out there with a USB connection? I've been told that Garmin don't make them as they persisted with parallel connections for this model. Any help gratefully accepted!

I bought a usb on ebay for my etrex (blue model) and it works fine you just have to download the driver for it.

I recently bought my new Garmin etrex legend. And to great surprise it came with a 9-bit PC data cable. I automatically thought it would include a USB. If anyone knows where to buy this accessory. Please Reply!

last week we were on vacation and i took my wife caching for the first time she enjoyed untill we looking for one under a fishing pier.We about 1 ft away from it when a 14ft alligator swam up on us.needless to say when skipped that one.She still had fun helped me more that day.

I have a blue etrex it took me awhile to figure it but it has helped me out fine.Just play with till you get use to it

Currently I am using etrex legend,which I like,but looking for something else.I would like to stay with Garmin. Any suggestions.

Hello I am new to caching myself I have a legend (blue),about 1 yr,iIhave not had this problem yet.But if it happens,now i know that its not just my unit.
