Dire Straits? Brothers in arms?
Good guess. First CD to sell more than a million copies (I think), but no.
ok How about the Rolling Stones?
And is that further back that MJ or further back than Fleetwood mac?
Nope. Right era, their early days...
pop album
...not so much rock..

All wrong so far. Think a weenie bit further back...a really big name in music...it is a group. The bonus question answer was a soloist.
-
Nope and nope.
They are really well known artists though.
-
That one took me a while to work out!
What was the first pop album to be printed on a CD?
(and a bonus question, which was the first album to be released onto CD?)
Artists will also qualify.

John, where Jack had had "had had", had had "had". "Had had" had had the teachers approval.

Oops, my first double post!

This post brought a smile to me (for a new puzzle cache). It is a little different, and isn't a short log...

I used xxxx for quite some time. Tom is amazing in his response to feature requests. He churns out updates in response to requests at a staggering rate. GS could learn a thing or two from him.
I have switched from WM to an iPhone. Not for geocaching purposes (I was very happy caching with xxxxx on WM). All the feature requests I make in the iPhone forums are based on the features already available in xxxx.
For every 1 signature added to this petition I know there are hundreds of people who would add their signature if they knew about the thread. This coming from a small country at the tip of Africa, where xxxx has a huge user group.
+7 (and a few hundred others).
.....from an iPhone user.

So I got my first cache today with my new (second hand) Oregon 300. (Got it off Gumtree, quite a good price). Got me 2m from the cache, but couldn't really use geocaching features as it was a puzzle cache (Number Crunch...quite a stinker!)
Happy to say screen brightness doesn't seem to be an issue.
Any tips or tricks?
Which rechargeable batteries do you recommend?
Where do you recommend getting accessories?

Sounds like a lethal injection when administering a death sentence.
Sodium Thiopental......time to count some sheep
Pancuronium Bromide....get those muscles really relaxed....even the diaphragm will rest
Potassium Chloride....given in high doses will stop the ticker
All sounds quite pleasant......but....

c'mon Trev, Pooks is close enough......

Thanks Guys!!! (Took a while...!)

Either day is fine for us. But shouldn't the weather be watched before a final decision is made.
Ditto.....so far...but I do have a family!

Thanks all for attending the walk up Lions Head. Don't be fooled though, on a scale of one to 10, that was probably a 5, the big one being a 10. Remember the first crack? There IS one like that on the big one...but the top is easier and there is a chain to help you.
Had a lot of fun! Sorry to run off at the end!
(Congrats to Henzz on reaching a middle age crisis age...take it out on caching!)
(Congrats to ralph1dc on 50!)

Interested to see the answer (though I thought that it may have been a similar question about Bain's Kloof Pass, knowing the Pooks).
I'll opt for the bigger figures.....

YAY! Abba it was! The album was ""The Visitors" (wonder what one of those would be worth today?)
The first album released onto CD was by Billy Joel (52nd Street).
Take it away TG!
