We received our Operation Sunshine Mission and it really did brighten up our day. Thank you so Much grodan o fiabus. We love the Sunflower card along with the Chocolates which we are saving for a snack later tonight while watching movies and for the Swedish Inventions coin. The little flower magnet is cute too. Hugs to you from Wisconsin to you in Sweden.

Glad to hear that you liked it! Since this was my first mission I was a bit curious if it even should make it "over there" but it did and I´m happy for that.

    Sunshine and hugs to you!

Grodan, you did a GREAT job on your first mission... be careful sending that Swedish chocolate :)... those folks in the US just aren't used to such good stuff :) and you'll spoil them!

  2. Yesterday was raining and cold in the Netherlands, a really depressing day. Then I came home and found the Sunshine package. It immediately brightened my day. I was whisteling for hours afterwards

Funny card and very nice coin!

    Thanks Team ECCS21

    Glad you liked it.

Can't wait for a little sunshine to arrive here in Michigan where they are forecasting another 2-4 inches of snow.

  3. I know it is still early but a question... will you be mailing out the racer tags or will we send coins to you to have them tagged. I like the idea of all coins starting at the same event (if you are looking for some feedback.)

The Michigan Department of Natural Resources had a paid permit system in place for several years for cache placement. MiGO members worked with the DNR to modify that system; last year, MiGO announced the new permit system: with permission from the local park, caches are now allowed in the millions of acres of DNR-managed lands, with no permit fee to be charged to the cache owner.

MiGO is also active in park clean-ups, Adopt-a-Highways, and Adopt-a-Forest areas. In 2006, the SW region met at a local open space land area and spent the day over-filling a dumpster pulling out all the refuse dumped in the area by the previous owners. Water heaters, broken glass, metal shelving, etc. all came out, to help make the area more enjoyable by all.

MiGO also has an active Rescue Mission - any 'abandoned' caches, archived without any evidence of them being pulled or active on another site are added to the rescue mission. Out of over 400 caches listed, cahcers have removed the Geo-Trash at 93% of them.

The first weekend of February, MiGO teamed up with a Grand Rapids Museum to put on a demonstration, in conjunction with the museum's newest exhibit - MAPS. They brought information, cache containers, and GPSrs to the museum, taught people about GPS, and even took some brave souls (it was pretty cold) out to find a cache placed especially for the exhibit.

But best of all, it's the people. I haven't met anyone at a MiGO event that hasn't been friendly or helpful. They're always ready to help people, cachers and muggles alike.

There's just so much that makes MiGO great!

    What he said

  6. We have released 26 of our personal coins into the wild in the last year. 1 was lost when the cache was plundered and stolen the rest are still moving. So far it seems that just about the time we think one has gone missing another log pops up.

If you are worried about your coins disappearing when you set them free, don't set them free. Sell some and use the rest as trade stock to build up your collection.

    Another $.02 ;)

  7. <snip> and a White Oval coin with an E in the center. Not sure what country the E stands for...thinking England but not sure.

    </snip>

Maybe it is a bumper sticker coin like these?

If it is, my guess would be the E stands for Spain.

The Biritsh ones have GB on them. :D

Yep that's the one. Maybe I should start looking for a Spanish WEGE participant ;)

  8. Package received...YES!

Received a pink geocaching bracelet, A travel bug protector and some very nice coins.

The Travel Penguin, A Coin Pal coin, and a White Oval coin with an E in the center. Not sure what country the E stands for...thinking England but not sure. No idea who our WEGE person is but thanks very much for the great coins!

Can't upload a picture, Sorry
