  1. Are these micros (very small containers, like Bison Tubes)? We call that "Micro Spew". It is as if some one drove down the road with a bucket full of bison tubes and threw one out of the window every .1 miles...

Near my home town, Austin, Texas, there is a series like this that I think is OK because of the severity of the road you have to travel to get to them all (4x4 required for a lot of creek crossings with no bridges!).

    Cheers

    Wow, that's impressive!

That's not a power trail and the emperor is wearing a robe!

  2. Well, the darnedest thing. I changed my PQ to run every day of the week just to see if it came through some time. I then decided to copy it 7 times and set each of the copies to run on a different day of the week. Just the instant I clicked the Sat box, that one ran! and I got the e-mail almost instantly! So there is something to try! Good luck all, I'm finally off to cache after a 30 hour delay!

  3. Doesn't this go against the "anything pointy to hide or find the cache" ""rule""? Just asking.

My brother has recently gotten into spy stuff, and he is also into adventure. He wants to obtain a dead drop spike, one that is at least 6 inches long and waterproof. I would like to get him one for a gift, but with a twist. . . I want to plant it, have something inside, and hand him an envelope with the coordinates so he must adventure to find the gift. My only problem.....getting the spike. Anyone know where I can get one? Your help is much appreciated.

  4. I use GSAK, Garmin GPSMAP 76CSx, and a Palm Tungsten E2 and Cache Mate for the Palm. GSAK has an export function that not only puts the file in Cache Mate format and puts it into the synch directory for the palm. All you have to do then is synch your palm. Very handy. GSAK sends the waypoints directly to my Garmin also. Very handy.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with changing to paperless caching and some help on downloading waypoints as well. I have been trying a few programs...easyGPS as well as swiss army for downloading waypoints and neither of them seem to save the user hints like they are supposed to. Which of these programs is better to use? Are they able to download enough information right onto my unit (Garmin vista hcx) for me to go out and cache? I also looked into a program where I can put coordinates onto my palm pilot...do any of those programs work well?? I am just beginning with all this and am some what confused on how to set everything up.

Can anyone give me a list of programs/an easy description of the best/simplest way for successful paperless caching??

Any help would be great! Thanks
