  1. Goodmorning world. Today i woke up in a different topic, so i had some trouble finding myself. Speaking of myself. Have i ever told you that i sang in a choir for over 7 years. So I really must be a pretty musical guy...
  2. Van Stoffelen Sr. is off to bed now. All contributions after #18 will be looked at tomorrow morning.
  3. Yes, it is that simple, although confused is not an option.
  4. Without particular order!, otherwise it would be too easy. So, keep on playing this game of Geocachers Mastermind...
  5. I've given you one already. Everyone above has also been involved in the 4 in 1 cointest, so that will limit the amount of names. But let me make it easy for you: millieballon Turlutortue Team Van Stoffelen catsnfish drneal Merchlinskys opalsns mud4x4 GATOULIS paganfrog daveindeal toadjumper SYOTT sterni2009 Minimike2 Carbon Hunter Start trying and you'll see another hint pop up...
  6. And yet another cointest. Below are the childhood photographs of 6 geocachers. The cointest is very simple. Guess the right geocachers geocaching names at each picture (number). The rules are very simple. Everyone can enter as many times as possible, but for now only one entry (post) per half an hour per cointestant. A post must contain all six numbers and one guess per number. Now and then I will give some clues. The first clue is simple: all of these geocachers been involved in the 4 in 1 mega cointest. As for those of you who see themselves on the pictures. Your so lucky, because you do have an advantage to the other cointestants. But it might not be wise to put your name behind your photonumber too soon. Smart people may notice that and before you know the smartest will win... Good luck to all of you!
  7. The first three cointests are over. The fourth - childhood photo - cointest will be here as soon as possible. Time to announce the winners: 1. What would you do for a coin? Please let us know what you are willing to do just to win a geocoin in this cointest. Remember, winning this cointest equals doing what you have promised in your answer. The winner is: Carbon hunter who is going to give a coin to a friend when he starts geocaching. 2. This year is almost coming to an end. So please show us your most beautiful, sad, funny, tragic or epic picture you took while you were out Geocaching this year. Please do tell us the story that goes behind the picture. This was really a very hard decision. I loved the Nebraska picture of Catsnfish in #11. I shivered at Gatoulis' story in #17 about dangerous caching on Rhodes. But I recognised a lot in DrNeal's story about his last walk with Logan. About two months ago we had to let our 17 year old Jack Russell Max go. His last walk with our family he enjoyed a lot and it even looked like he was healthy as never before. We've got great memories of our four-feeted-friend. So the winner of this cointest is drneal. 3. Show and tell us your hobbies other then geocaching and collecting geocoin. Make sure you tell us all a convincing story, show us a photo or drawings. I know ‘stamp collecting’ can be fun, but only these two words won’t make you a winner in this cointest. You didn't make it easy for me on this one. I love the hobby's of Gatoulis, collecting almost everything. I admire Torlutortue for the beautiful fimo miniatures (great Santa!). But this time the winner is he who is keeping history alive: Catsnfish. And then the extra geocoin for someone who has entered all three cointests above and will be entering the 'childhood photo' cointest also. Our greek friend GATOULIS. I hope you all enjoyed these cointests. You can now enter the childhood photo cointest here. Thanks all!
  8. Just 8 hours before the first 3 cointests will end (see post 1). And do not forget to send me a childhood picture of yourself so cointest 4 can continue with many contributions.
  9. Porcupine... tempting... Zie het als een uitdaging... See it as a challenge... Rian (it's a he)
  10. Every year the Dutch radio station 3FM raises money to help the Red Cross fighting a silent disaster. To do so 3 dj's lock themselves up for five days in a glass house. In these five day they play non stop music request without eating. In 2008 they managed to collect € 5.702.621 (eq. $ 8.325.826). In 2009 they are collecting to help the Dutch Red Cross fight against malaria. The Glass House stands from December 18 untill December 24 in Groningen. Team Van Stoffelen is from the province of Groningen and will help to collect money for this great purpose. Van Stoffelen is going to sell two of his nicest and biggest geocoins. The coins will be sold on Ebay. Every penny will go to the action. Van Stoffelen will pay the shipping costs. Click here for the Cosmolabe - Antique Bronze Auction Click here for the Mariners Astrolabe - Antique Silver/Antique Gold Auction If you do not want to bid for one of these coins, but do want to make a free gift for this action than that is also possible. If you live within the Netherlands you can donate here and help Van Stoffelen's primary school fundraising for this action. If you do not live in the Netherlands and wants to contribute, please do contact Team Van Stoffelen.
  11. In the topic 4 in 1 Mega Cointest Topic I invite you all to join cointest 4. This cointest will start about next sunday. It would be very nice if there would be a little more photo's to get the cointest up and running. Cointest 4 will be based on your childhood photographs. We all are very curious about how we all looked like when we were kids, so please send your childhood photograph to Team Van Stoffelen at cointest{AT}Huiberts.info. I will transform these photo’s into a new and extra cointest that will be online just after the first three cointests have ended. So I you can and want, please send your geocaching name and childhood picture to the emailaddress above. Please do not reply below.
