When I email Garmin tech support I do get a replay that I need to use latest firmware. They do not confirm or deny that there is any problem.

Using the Nüvi macro "http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php?showtopic=195389" you can make Geocache files for your 60CSx that do include discription/logs and hints. Nice paperless solution.

Edge 305 and 205 would not work to use with geocaching, but 605 and 705 do support both POI and maps, so it should work.

If you buy one DVD, you can install on may PC, but only one GPS. IF you buy SD card, it can be moved from GPS to GPS, but no map on PC. Beware, read this: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...383&hl=2009

If you rename gmapbmap.img to gmapsupp.img you can select what map to see. Always take a backup of your GPS files.

This is not the first version of maps with this offset. Same reported for other GPS maps

A GPS bought with this map in China do have a special firmware patch to remove the 400m offset.

I do agree, that you should check first. But lots of novice GPS user do not know that there are many version out there. I have otften seen release info of Garmin products at the dealer, (advertised on their web) weeks before you see it on Garmin sites.

I have seen people reported offset error in map of China used on GPS not bought in China. Now this has been confirmed by other on the new v2008. This will not be fixed by Garmin. Do not order this map, unless you do not have a GPS bough in China. http://www.gpscity.com/msdcnchina

I did get hold of a mapfile from someone who have bought City Navigator Europe NT v2009 (v11) This is a fake map. It is version 2008 with a modifyed name. Same size and same mapID (284) as v2008. I did make a call to Garmin and did get a confirmation that v2009 is still not released. DO NOT BUY THIS MAP http://shop.ebay.com/?_from=R40&_trksi...-All-Categories

On Nüvi 760 you will not see any satellite above 33, nor "D" at sattelite, but Garmin do state that it does support and use WAAS. Garmin has desided not to show that it's there.

Thank you for this fine release. Two comments You shold make C:\Garmin default install folder. (most Garmin maps install there) Or select the folder where other maps are installed inn. I do always make a POI file of the Cache to use it on my Nüvi 760. Loading this file to Colorado/Oregon will make the showing up on the map. You can set zoomlevel for POI.
