  1. Now that should be national law. Maybe more children would survive then. Green are state laws requiring helmets Red Local laws White No Laws In 2006, 773 bicyclists were killed and an additional 44,000 were injured in traffic crashes. Children 14 and younger accounted for 98 of those fatalities (13%), making this one of the most frequent causes of injury related death for young children. Every dollar spent on bicycle helmets saves society $30 in indirect medical costs and other costs.

  10. Well this one just happened less than a month ago. I was caching on my geobike in Neenah WI. It was towards the end of the day when I was about to cross the road on a cross-walk when out of nowhere appeared a motorcyclist turning right. He missed me by less than two feet and scared the crap out of me. Now part of this incident was my fault as I didn't stop like I problaly should have. So what have I learned. Look left and right and stop at cross walks.

We need to build up his courage a bit!! I agree that kids would listen to you, my friend! you have the knowledge and you're a great example of what can be done when one puts their mind to it!! If only I could think straight. This plan is on hold until I get over four wisdom teeth peing pulled
