Sounds great!

I usually disguise as a worker or something. Like a lamp-post electrician. But, Arrow42 had the best idea by far.

Wait a week, then try running the query again.

The posters ^^^^^^^^up there^^^^^^^^^^ have itr right on, though it would be nice to be able to delete just the picture. Now we know what my next feature request is gonna be.
-
Yeah! Me too...

Could I get lots of pieces of bacon falling from the top of the pic, doesn't need to be avatar sized. Need it for a puzzle cache.
-
I'd love to find some bacon-print duct tape. I'd cover a jar with it and put it out as a cache for bacon lovers!
Or maybe Bacon code.

I wanted to post some pics from some of my event caches from the 4-H Camp Cache Bash, held this past June.
The LPC in the Woods
I will try to post some from last years event as well, as soon as I can find them!
Boots...
Awesome!
This has inspired me to post another idea. I made this two years ago but it has been sitting in my caching stuff. Now my daughter wants to place it.
Whoa? How did you make that?
As a long time lurker, I feel it is time to add one of my creations to my favourite thread.
We have a kindergartener and a pre-schooler so up until quite recently it seemed that every cupboard door and appliance in the house was childproofed. After a while we got used to them being there so we could automatically unfasten them. However, when friends and family would visit, we were able to get a good laugh when they would encounter one of those tricky contraptions.
Using that as a premise, I sat down with a variety of childproofing locks and designed the following nested locking cache.
Upon opening the ordinary looking ammo can, the finder discovers a stove lock.
After squeezing his way past that one, he encounters the dreaded fridge lock. This style of lock proved to be the most frustrating for many of our visitors.
The clever finder that has pushed his way through that one then comes upon the corner cupboard lock.
Once that little bad boy is unbuckled, the finder uncovers a somewhat familiar pill bottle.
Following a swift push/twist combination, the log book is finally uncovered.
Here is a cross-section showing the nested compartments
How much did it cost?

Garmin 60csx and used palm pda from EBAY
Like: The similar interface as the Legend and the overall praise this unit has gotten over years
Dislike: The idea of going "older technology" and having a pda to reference for paperless geocaching, as opposed to "All in one".
Questions:
(1) Who uses this paperless method and likes it (or thinks it is fine)- who uses this method and can't wait to upgrade to a fully paperless geocahing unit? I think if I did not have that Colorado in my hand for a few months that I would not know any different. I had the ease of downloading pocket queries along my road trip route and was easily able to have all that info available. Again, if I had the pda and gps and never had the Colorado, I'd think that was awesome too.
I can answer this too--Both the 40 and the 60CSx are top dog when it comes to accuracy, followed closely behind by Legends. I used that method and was dying to upgrade to an all-in-one unit, because unless you're using pocket queries, or have lots of time, you leave the PDA at home and carry papers. It's a hassle to load into a PDA. Go for the 40.

Delorme PN-40
Like: the paperless geocaching feature.
Dislike: All the different "map" features that I really don't think I'll use- and the learning curve I read about, short battery life, not knowing what the visual geocaching navigational screens look like compared to what I am used to on the Garmin
Questions:
(1) Is it easy to manually input waypoints (say when doing a multi-cache) and then navigate to them?
(2) Do you have choice of navigating via map screen, or compass screen like my old Legend?
(3) Are there any problems in general with the paperless geocaching features/capabilities of the PN-40?
The PN-40 is essentially your old Legend with paperless features.
(1)Yes, you can change the coords of caches, and mark waypoints with ease. It's easier than on a Legend.
(2)See for yourself:
(3)Nothing comes to mind.
Can't answer for any of the other models though.
Oh yeah, it's pretty easy to leanr!
-
Yea, I like my PN-40.

I have a Vista HCx.
Just called support an they said they only have rubber band kits for the Black & white models & that I would need to send mine in for service (10 months old).
Was I fed a 'story' or is this true?
Has anyone else had this situation recently?
There has to be a TON of you out there with loose sticky surrounds...
Am I stuck doing a DIY with the old band if I'm not willing to give up my GPSr for a few weeks??
Try just putting a rubber band around it.
-
Wow! That was fast. I suppose I should change the placed by field on my 179 cachepages...
-
What is a blinkie anyway??

Sea-toe
But it comes out like "Woof woof woof woof woof woof"
-
"Master of annoying feature requests"
-
Yup. Know about where it is now, definitely not a needle in a haystack, QP&G if you've found one like it. As for how its hidden, go find it...

What did the 'priority' field say in the first email?I just had mine changed.. took about a week. Got an email right away that my message was received, and then just today got an email saying it was just changed. So be patient.. it will come.

....nevermind....

I just got a 'it has been recieved' email. Waiting for it to happen...

This is the second time you've stepped in as the topic police. The first you castigated me in Post #15 for discussing the topic title "Coordinate checkers are no good" and now you're rudely just forum shouting not that you've implemented a coordinate checker (which are now apparently good but we are quite discouraged from discussing that) but instead implying that all of those posters are so stupid that they didn't read your Post #16.
To me, you're not playing well with others in this topic; you post a topic with a declarative statement on a message board and then either try to dictate the flow of discussion by fiat or rudely attract readers to your post rather than being civil. Hence this response that I freely acknowledge uses the rude posting to make a point about civility in the forums and respect for what others are posting. If you open a topic on a discussion board, don't be shocked when discussion happens.
Yeah, because I found one that works. I don't think a single post has been on topic. If I was a moderator, this thread would be closed and sinking off the radar.

I just requested that my username be changed...will I be notified when it is changed?

I just found the solution--Yahoo started thinking stuff from geocaching is spam. Time to get another email.
