  1. I have been gone for a week, the mailman has been good to me while I was away. Today I got in the mail: Firefighters geocoin icache geocoin hibiscus surfboard geogoin Crappy cache geocoin Blue gnome geocoin (again) (got to stop ordering the "mystery" grab bag at Geoswag, getting repeats now) Navstar geocoin (again) Pathtag club tag Oct. Pathtag club tag 100 assorted rubber duckies (for swag) Micro coins and tags book to put my traded Pathtags in. No Great Pumpkin or CCC coin... darn! I still believe though someday I will get a coin from an anonymous person! Great day! Hope everyone's mailbox is filled with overflowing goodies tomorrow!
  2. I have had nothing but the best service from Oakcoins and Geoswag. The packages always come very quickly in the mail and I compare "other" sites for buying coins to them. None have measured up to the great treatment I have received from Oakcoins and Geoswag.
  3. Hi all. I have a very special doctor friend. He is a collector of anything related to DC-3's. The planes were also called "Goonie Birds". I am wondering if any of geocoin collectors have ever seen a geocoin with a DC-3 on it. Maybe someone has created a personal geocoin with the DC-3? Perhaps there is a military coin with one? I hope you can point me in a direction to find one. I want to present it to my friend for all his kindness he has extended to me and my family for the past 20 years. Anyone with info? Thanks !
  4. made mistake, by the time I fixed it there was a winner. Dang you all are fast! Thanks for the cointest!

  6. 1. How did you first hear about geocaching? 2. Tell me about your first cache? 3. Have you had any bad/scary experiences caching? 4. What is the #1 reason you geocache? 5. Do you prefer to hunt or hide? 6. What was your favorite cache place? Why? 7. What was your worst cache? Why? 8. Have you ever attended a cache event? 9. Tell me your best caching story? 1. National Geographic Adventure Mag. 2. I fell into a creek and suffered from hypothermia, went back the very next day and found it. 3. When a cliff my hubby was standing on taking pictures and the rocks underneath him broke away, he fell about 40 feet. I was back at the car, had no idea he had fallen. No cell reception. Now we take our radios so we can keep in touch when the terrain is too hard for me. (He bounced well, just "roadrash" and bruising on his hips). 4. We started as the activity was good rehab for me after getting hit by a semi and having 16 spinal surgeries to fix me up. Walking is therapeutic. We now cache for the time it allows us to be together and the awesome places we get to visit. 5. Hunt 6. Mountain Tragedy. It is a cache in Colo. that is placed at a firefighting plane crash. Hubby is a Airport Crash Fire Rescue Firefighter. The plane was maintained in the town he was born and raised in. Sombering. 7. A cache in a old discarded McD's drink cup, hidden in other trash. I wanted to C.I.T.O. the cache. We C.I.T.O ed the surroundings instead. 8. Yes, five of them and hosted one recently too. 9. Having to return to "Mondo's Blonde Bridge" 4 times even with the owner on the phone giving hints. The D'oh moment that hit us when we found the cache.
  7. Okay, I am a noob to the coin arena, but I am learning how special everyone here is. Today as I open my mail I got a Fire Chief Helmet coin. I know who did this for me, and I know he probably had to trade one of his coins for it. I was so totally dumbstruck to find this coin in my mail. I don't think anyone has ever been so nice. Thanks R. Amazing... just amazing!!!!!!! Now we have a coin for both the professions of Team Fireboy.. a nurse and a firefighter. Way Kewl. Oh and thanks Chief20R2 for trading with my friend.

  9. We are going to a Halloween Event on Oct. 20th in Douglas WY. maybe The Great Pumpkin will show up there! We believe!
  10. There are so many things I am thankful for. Mostly though I am thankful that I have a job where I can help other people in their time of need.
  11. Wyoming's Geocaching Group. wyogeo.net A fairly new organization. Friendly people!
  12. Plenty of cachers in Laramie. Check out wyogeo.net It is our states fairly new organized geocaching group.
  13. Check your old emails, if you can get to the presale page, Geoswag has a few more icache coins left. Possibly from double orders. I just ordered mine 5 minutes ago.
  14. You will get emailed the Geoswag newsletter when you buy something. The newsletter has a link to the pre-sale page, it's about a biweekly newsletter.
  15. Denver.... wow. You gonna come up north to Cheyenne on your way to Salt Lake City and drop some of your coins here? We got plenty of caches along the way!
  16. We have seen Mike's Butterfly sample coins at our event. Just beautiful. Too bad our event was Sept. 22nd, after the close of orders. Sheesh. Trust me..... you all ordered some nice coins!
  17. Kimba are you going to have any at your event to trade or sell. I tried to get them via Oakcoin presale page, but they were sold out quick! If not, hey I will enjoy the event anyhow!
  18. Travel Gnome - traded NavStar - traded Thanks for the trades!
  19. I did make a announcement at the event for all to make sure they logged the trackables. I also emailed the person who picked up the "missing" bug, asked him to log it and I emailed the "complainer" who sent the nasty email to me telling them who had their bug. I thought it out of line calling events "something that just makes trash to be c.i.t.o.ed for real geocachers" to do after an event. The whole jist of the emails were to complain about tb's, coins and trash.... making it apparent that this person did not like, nor were they ever going to participate in an event. I was flabbergasted. I didn't think it fair to focus so much angst toward us for holding an event. If you don't like events don't go, but also don't complain to those who go to them or who hold them. I wonder if this is worth all the planning and work we did to hold the event.. then I think... yes, it was because everyone who attended had fun. We got to see our friends and meet new ones too.
