We've all used that one, huh?
Even me, and I've only be geocaching for two weeks!
It's been my experience, thus far, that dodging and hiding from prying eyes is FARRRRRRRR tougher than finding the cache itself.
Being a country boy and COMPLETELY biased I think I'm going to stick to the rural caches. I can blend in there...I'm a sore thumb in the city. Amazing how many people find a bit of cow manure on your boot soles offesive...sheesh, some people huh?
I'm also bad at lying, ya know...really, just terrible...take my last run-in with a nosy onlooker:
"Whatcha looking for?"
"Uhhh, ummm, nothing. Nothing...I mean, my keys, yeah, my keys. I dropped my keys here"
"Need some help?"
"Ohh, uhh, noooo, umm, not really. It's not an important key. It opens a tackle box, yeah, a tackle box....and the lock is broken so I don't really need the key at all"
"You ok?
"me? yeah, fine....well, must be off."
"What about your key?"
"Key? Oh, yeah...ummm, you can have it, if you find it". - JamesJM
