  13. 1) About a week 2) I noticed the problem first time when I loaded a large GPX file, but I think that was accidental. 3) Lower right corner when in portrait orientation. It got worse over the next few weeks until it was unusable. Calibration did not help.
  14. Garmin replaced my first Montana 650 that had the same screen calibration problem. The screen on the new one works fine.
  15. The Adventures option has not been added to the Firmware yet. I understand that it is on Garmins To Do list.
  16. Because you can! Yes, that's it. The GSAK database I use on daily basis includes all the caches that I have not found in the "State" where I live, the neighbour states (max 2 hours drive) and Traditional only caches in Stockholm and Copenhagen, as I may have to go there on short notice (Grab the GPS and run). I always bring my GPS when traveling in case I get some spare time.
  17. I have noticed that when loading geocaches (11000 from my current database) from GSAK using the GarminExport Macro, the Montana progress bar often stops at about 50%, and it turns itself off after a few minutes. When turning the Montana on again, I can see that many of the geocaches from the database is missing (probably 50%). By running the macro again, the Montana usually loads the geocaches as expected when I turn it on. Once in a while, I have to run the macro several times before the Montana loads the geocaches properly. I am not sure if this is related to 2.70 or not.
  18. I assume you have 2.6 and 2.5 as GCD files, as that is what you need to "downgrade". Make sure that the filename is gupdate.gcd (rename if required) and copy the file to the Montana Garmin folder. Turn on the Montana and follow the instructions..
  19. The unit of measure can be changed by entering the 'Proximity Alarms' page, pressing the 'Menu' key, and selecting 'Change Units'
  20. The one that was replaced had serial number 88x while the new one has 47x.
  21. That is probably a HW issue. I had the same problem, and it got worse over time. Garmin replaced the unit with a new one that works fine.
  22. Yes, I downgraded to 2.50 this way myself this morning.
  23. OK, as I am new to this forum I did not know how it has been in the past. Btw, after reading about the 2.60 issues in both treads, just to be sure that the Montana works with geocaching, I have downgraded to 2.50 again. (As I am leaving for vacation in Italy tomorrow morning) I still have a problem with the screen calibration (lower right corner in vertical orientation), and Garmin has asked me to return the unit, and I will do so as soon as I return from vacation.
  24. I have noticed that there are 2 treads in this forum covering Montana issues. Why not gather all issues in a single tread (this) ?
