  1. Not huge FTF hounds here, but we live in an area that doesn't get so many new caches, so when one comes in, we like to know about it.... And for the past 6 weeks or so, the new cache notifications have not been coming. I'm getting my pq's, the weekly mailer, etc., but not the new cache notifications. I've even tried setting up a second notification, but nothing. I'm using gmail and I check spam, but these quite simply aren't coming for some strange reason or another and they used to come before. Suggestions? Thanks, Naomi
  2. Hanna has her b-day in December, so time is not a problem. Tasia, I know how demanding a mission, especially one of this size can be. If you need, I'll take over it if you want, but otherwise, you just keep going, girl! Naomi
  3. I second that emotion LoriDarlin has got to be one of the most deserving of this coin! I agree all the way with this and i will post for my first time on this thread for my heart desire for Lori Darlin to Receive a geo bandit coin. One more to that list!!
  4. I have 2 of the three coins you received, but man, I am MEGA jealous of the fetisch and the pouch and the dragonfly talisman you received! What a special package, filled with handmade items like that and difficult to find coins! Naomi
  5. INCREDIBLE job!!! It's officially on my wishlist!! Naomi
  6. Hang in there, you're one of the most big hearted folks here, you'll be in all of our thoughts and prayers! *hugs* Naomi, Micke and the girls
  7. Well, I'm in Sweden, on the east coast about half way up, and we cache with kids, so for us caching is a spring/summer/fall thing. Once the snow falls we don't do much caching at all until it melts again, unless we go to Stockholm or Gävle or another big city where we can do city caching. Basically we COULD cache with the kids in the winter, they are 2.5 and 9, but I think it's mamma... the Texan... who is kind of opposed to tramping around in the snow in the middle of winter... I'd rather be sitting home warm and cozy, hehehe! Förlåt att jag har skrivit på engelska, det är mitt modersmål och jag är helt kass att skriver på svenska... kan läsa norska... på minst mestadels, lol, så hade tänkte att jag skulle svara lite har! Naomi
  8. I don't doubt that it's legit at all. As far as double tracking numbers, I wouldn't imagine that Jeremy has to buy his own for his own coin Jim hasn't said that the coin would be purchasable, no clue whether it is or not, actually. Jim also alluded that it would be up to Jeremy to distribute, so it may be nothing with Jim and Paula aside from her designing it. Not trying to take any sides here, just pointing out a few small things. Answers would be VERY, VERY nice, though... on a lot of different levels! Naomi
  9. Droo, That is Jim, Paula's soon to be ex-husband, according to posts that are on the Titanic coin thread. Just a FYI Naomi
  10. That, my friends, is a compass rose made of ghosties and ghoulies and longleggedy beasties and things that go bump in the night, and then candies to sweeten the pot a bit! *just my guess, lol! Boy, I wish I had bought one! I know I still can, but real life intrudes on the geocoin budget! Naomi
  11. Ahhh, RSG, you are a girl after my own heart! I love the micros and smaller coins, too... there is just something about them, so delicate and so much detail in such a small space.... Naomi
  12. Well, no secret that we can't make it, lol, BUT... I wanted to share this with ya! A Swedish American couple who came to our event over the summer made it over a camp stove and it was DELISH!! I think they called it something like Mountain Man... in any case, it was GOOD!! Place half a gallon of milk in a pot and bring it to a boil (be careful, milk boils over EASY and burned milk STINKS) Add between 1/2 cup and 1 cup or so of light brown sugar and return it to a boil to let it caramelize and melt in with the milk a bit. Add about half a bottle of Captain Morgan's spiced rum... more or less, depending on taste. I used less when we introduced it to the in-laws and the bottle ended up on the table being added to their mugs as they drank it. In-laws gave it an 8 on the scale of 1 - 10 of cool/cold weather/night time drinks! You guys have a great time, bubba! Naomi
  13. Depending on the cost, I am interested, too. Please let me know.
  14. OOOOH! Sweden, please, Delorme, Sweden! Eartha, I think they should send one to you, just as an honorary thing! That way you can get your coin collection started! Naomi
  15. All I have to say is... YEEEEE-HAW! and to the Geo_Bandit!! Once more, a mystery coiner managed to time things just right. I've a head cold coming on, haven't seen my sweet Swede since 5:30 Monday morning (he's due home in the next hour or so, thankfully) and was greeted by the 8 year old, who I also haven't seen since Monday morning with "I don't want to go home, I want to stay at gramma's longer" after a long day at work, of which 6 hours of an 8 hour day was spent explaining to customers who wanted information on their bills that the system was down and getting yelled at by some of them for it. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! At least the 2 year old was happy to see mamma... lots of hugs and kisses to make the day better from her Naomi
  16. Ok, shall we consider this a match with Hanna, then.... we can do these two kids independently! Send me email at hannaomikael at gmail and we'll exchange addresses and such there if you want!
  17. OMG! This is one of the rare coins that I will find a way to purchase! LOVE IT!
  18. Furthermore, at the bottom left side of the screen, between where you add a reply and the topic, there is a little box for 'search topic' that should make it a bit easier to find certain coins. This, like that search box, is just another tool to try to improve things here
  19. I tried contacting UOTrackers and I haven't heard anything back from them
  20. My Imagine coin how has a friend to keep it company... an Imagine Pathtag!! w00t!! Thanks, Ima Gine! You rock! Naomi
  21. Troy, I just gotta say that you've done one INCREDIBLE job on communication with this project! Well done! Naomi
  22. Count me in here for one Question, Hanna might want to participate, BUT... if she does, I'd want her to exchange with another kid and I'd like for her and the other kid to do their own packages, IE, decorate themselves and make their own cards and keep it really cheap. Shipping to the US is pretty expensive, so is shipping from there to Sweden, so if someone wants to do a simple package that their kiddo does themself, let me know! So... one for me and one possibly for Hanna
  23. You're a frog, you're SUPPOSED to be green! Naomi
