  1. OOOH GRODAN!!! THANK YOU!! I've been sick as a dog with a cold and then ended up being written in sick at work the other day for 5 weeks due to some other stuff and today sweet little Grodan just made my entire day! I got a WONDERFUL Halloween package from her with a handmade card, lots of spiders and spider webs, halloween streamers, candies for us all, cool little pumpkin candles, and her new Fiabus coins and a grim reaper coin! Really did a lot to lift my spirits, I hadn't received any coin mail in a while, so it made my day, thank you thank you thank you! *huge hugs* Naomi
  2. I'd be honored to help you move one here in Sweden~ Budgetary reasons have meant that I can't buy any, but I sure can place some in a cache for ya! Naomi
  3. who went on a road trip and disappeared from a rest area about a month ago here. In the past few days a 50 year old man has confessed to having taken her and murdered her, but he 'can't remember' where he put her body. Blood evidence has been found, though. Swedish cachers are, of course, a bit upset, we are a country of just over 9 million people, total, so the caching group here is pretty tight. So... I thought I'd ask if anyone would mind going and lighting a candle for Carolin and her family and the cachers here in Sweden. http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/candle...ng&gi=GeoCs Thanks, ya'll. Naomi
  4. OMG! My mother-in-law collects piggies and I can guarantee she doesn't have anything like those! MUST HAVE A PIGGY!!! Her b-day is in 2 weeks, is there ANY way I could get one of those?? Dying here, love em! Naomi
  5. Sadly, the double clicking work around doesn't work in Opera.
  6. Got mail from FH and PF, too Anyone else?
  7. No problem, Tasia, I know how a mission can be, especially one of this magnitude! If there's anyone else interested in joining this last quarter, let me know ASAP so I can get things matched up and sent out And Ali, I got your mail, you're covered, toots! Naomi
  8. Two more, Just activated them quickly, I'll work on missions and such tomorrow, it's 11pm here and I've got a crap cold. TA4ODE and TB1A5EG Thanks for the chance, Roddy! Naomi
  9. That is so nice of you Solan! Is there anyone else that wants to jump in on a replacement b-day mission? The email to send to is in my post above! Naomi
  10. Pay attention to the roads, WATCH FOR BIKES!

  13. I was wondering the same thing. Nice coin, but people shouldn't profit from something like this IMHO. It just seems too "sacred"! Agreed. Pretty coin, meaningful, but not if it's for profit. That's just tacky. Like those commercials recently for the 9/11 silver dollar bill thing. Made me want to gag. It's not like this is the First 9/11 coin minted! You can get one right now from one of the Club Sites and it doesn't say anything about proceeds going to any charity or Memorial Funds. So please don't go getting all "Holier than Tho" on this one I find that I rather agree with Sunrayers on this one. Never forget, true, but everything with the WTC doesn't have to be a charity thing. I don't feel that this needs to be any type of charity coin at all. It's a lovely piece to remind people, but just because they buy it doesn't mean that a portion of proceeds has to go anywhere! Naomi
  14. I've got a sample of those bracelets here. The clasp is quite strongly closed. The snag/hook clicks into its place. Additional the two metal ends are oberlapping sticked together and are hold by a magnet. I hope, this technical comments was correct english and makes sense ;-) Good point, Eartha, and excellent response S&B!
  15. OOOOH, LIKEY!! Especially if we can personalize it to say our caching name or something instead of Sepp and Berta I like it a lot! Naomi
  16. OK, I'm on sick leave at work until Nov 23, so I'm going to jump in since Tasia is temporily AWOL. Give me the weekend to work on things and get information in, and I'll get folks matched up for the last quarter. Send me the normal info, age, b-day, address, caching name, etc, and I'll get you matched up and get the info out, and I'll watch this one through the end like I did with the sunshine mission that I did. If you are amongst those who didn't receive a mission through the year, please send me an email also stating as such and if you are wanting to give it another shot here this quarter. For those who didn't get a mission earlier in the year I will match you up with someone else who didn't get a mission because you both know what it's like to miss out, so I figure that you both will be very good about sending your missions out to each other ASAP. For those of you with a guilty conscience, now's your time to get a mission together and send it anonymously to your original recipient, if you want... nothing says you have to reveal who ya are Please send the needed information to me at geocoin.missions@gmail.com and I'll get started on it. I'd like all the information asap, by Sunday night, latest! Again, though, please be sure that you specifically state that you are a 4th quarter mission or a missing mission. Do so in your subject line, please! Naomi
  17. OOOHH! I've got an almost 9 year old that's gonna do flips to get one of those pink ones! *debating showing her the page or not* Naomi
  18. These are really cute! Almost too cute to let travel! Naomi... who doesn't trust letting cute/pretty coins travel alone
  19. Have laptop with wireless network card... As long as there are careless people out there I'll have connection to the net It may take me a short drive to find it, but I haven't been without yet on a trip, and that is on BOTH sides of the pond Lax security, apparently knows no bounds! Naomi
  20. It is a very well known fact (or perhaps little known in some quarters) that PM's and Emails sent through people's profile quite often just do not work. On the email front Groundspeak want to blame ISP's, my ISP says that is rubbish. Only last night I offered free Oakbucks, a poster said they sent a PM - I never got it. So no - you are probably not that stupid, but please accept that PM's cannot be relied upon, and neither can emails through Groundspeak. You could always try looking for an email address to use directly in the "address book". BTW Huge congrats to the winner, and once again I take my hat off to MrJiffy for all the hard work that went into this project. I am sure everyone that took part enjoyed it too judging by the pictures. Well said, Tooey! I've always had great correspondence via Email with MrJiffy and he's always been courteous and polite and just a lot of fun! He put on a cointest of HUGE magnitude, not to mention cost - for those of you not 'in the know,' coins like what he did can run over 2000 USD to mint, and he got nothing for it in return, nor did he ask for anything for it in return. Naomi
  21. Loved Qix, Q-bert and Worms, too. Ohhh, I LOVE worms, they crack me up!
  22. Frogger! Pumped many a quarter into that game at the local Safeway store when I was in high school, ohhh, how I loved that game! I still can remember the music for it! So brutal if you got run over, but sooooo fun otherwise! I graduated in 1984, so this is a long, long time ago, lol! Naomi
  23. There is a sweet little 4 year old granddaughter of a cacher out there waiting for her mission from us. I'm hoping it gets there on time. Halloween stuff is only JUST now appearing in shops here and I'm trying to find stuff that isn't so scary and gory the way that it's done here. It's going in the mail in the next couple of days, though! Naomi
  24. I have the cutest little cabin here that dates from the late 1600's that we make available for free to cachers who come visit... That having been said, would you like to come visit Sweden so we can do a face to face trade Naomi
