  1. Run a query using a date placed of May 1 to 2. Or, here is a Bookmark list. I don't own it. Can't attest to the completeness. http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.a...7e-403b0eac2ba6
  2. My PQ's were waiting for download when I got up this morning. Took 30 seconds to download all 4 of them. Now that I have configured GSAK to go to a folder, it takes two keystrokes in GSAK to load the new PQ's, update the DB and delete the PQ's. The ability to have 1KPQ's is fantastic.
  3. The icon does not show up on the iPhone app. It shows a blank. Assume there will need to be an update to the app to handle it. I will open a thread over in the iPhone forum.
  4. My sentiments exactly. I just cut my PO library from 20 to 10. I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTW, I am using Firefox 3.6.3 Thanks to all the lackeys that brought this project in on time as promised.
  5. What is the extension on the file after you download? .zip just like an email. And GSAK read it fine.
  6. I just downloaded a new PQ1K and it came down super fast. Interesting that it is only 853 KB and included 1000 caches. So I am not sure there would be a problem emailing PQ1K's. But I like the download capability too. Now I can access my PQ's from anywhere.
  7. My download is working now.
  8. I am getting the same thing.
  9. That is pretty impressive. Congratulations.
  10. New features generally don't please or work for everyone . We can't anticipate everyone's workflow or offline databases filtering needs either. -Raine In the past 3 hours, there has been close to 30 new caches published within 80km (50 mi) of my home coordinates. I don't care if I have to go to the post office to pick up my PQ's, , I am just thrilled that I can get 1000 in a single PQ. Thanks Raine.
  11. Creating 47 zones the first time out is kind of like trying to boil the ocean. I suggest you start by creating a very simple cartridge with one or two zones. That will let you start to play quickly and you can add additional features etc. as you go. Why not create a cartridge that simply displays a "Hello" when you enter the zone. From there, you can grow your cartridge. If you are using The Builder, I STRONGLY recommend you frequently save your files and create back ups. In you early days you are likely to make mistakes that kill a cartridge. Being able to step back one layer to a working version will make your life a lot easier. Finally, this forum is by far the best forum on the net. Everyone is here to help each other. Don't worry about a question being dumb. There are no dumb questions....especially with Wherigo. LOL Good luck.
  12. My PQ's cover the entire GTA and I have no problems getting them.
  13. You guys only gave me 30 minutes notice when you were heading to the cache. I can do horns in 30 minutes but that fire breathing requires a bottle or two of jalapenas and a couple of shots of.........tequila,.....of course. Rosie.....I mean,.....Caroline.....I mean Shiloh, I am glad you enjoyed the trip around the park to grab a couple of caches. And I have no doubt that you too with embrace the T81 challenge with the same fervor as Kara. And I promise to wear horns when you cross the finish line. Might even bring the real Tequila....and some tequila. Thanks for making my day.
  14. I would like to add my congratulations to Ara 'K" on not only completing the challenge but doing so in a very short time and with a very low total cache count. It was rewarding to read your log and see how you embraced the challenge and expanded your caching experiences. This challenge was created to get people thinking about quality instead of quantity. And, as time marches forward, and more caches are archived, the difficulty of this challenge increases. I am looking forward to several other completions, including gg7 and Treknschmidt. over the next few months.
  15. Great news. Congratulations. Good luck with in and keep them coming.
  16. Within 80 km (50 mi) of my HC, there are over 4,000 caches and 107 are PMOC. I own 56 of them.
  17. Log writers are always notified if their log is deleted, regardless of the log type.
  18. On a slightly more serious note, I am not sure why anyone would want to be a reviewer, BUT, I am sure glad the guys/gals in our area accepted the positions. They do an awesome job and given the volume of publishing, must sacrifice a significant portion of their recreation time.
  19. And yet over 1800 times you yourself have picked up an object that was hidden somewhere, opened it and then logged about the experiance online. During any of those 1800 times did you ever think that you might be picking up a bomb? Only once. When my caching partner handed me an item she had picked up. It turned out to be a fake hand grenade. And it was not the geocache. However, in none of my 2300+ times that I picked up an "object" did I do it after someone had advised me there might be a bomb at that location. And I was geocaching, not responding to a potential bomb in the capacity of a bomb disposal tech.
  20. A discarded juice box and a container wrapped in camo tape tucked into a light standard is hardly the same thing. The bomb squad is always going to error on the side of caution. Their lives depend on it. Don't lose sight of the fact that if some warped person wanted to plant an actual bomb ( which can be as small as a film cannister), what better disguise than to put it out like a geocache. Especially if you knew the bomb squad would automatically assume it is a geocache. I would sooner see them blow up every LPC in the land than read about one tech losing his life because they thought it was a geocache. May sound melodramatic but talk to some techs and ask them what they have seen as bombs. Bombs can be anything anywhere.
  21. Did a second check and my Saturday PQ's were turned off.....they are back now.
  22. WOW!!! That is surprising......and disappointing. Thanks for pointing it out. I hope it doesn't cause a landslide of log deletions.
  23. I am not seeing that with my PQ"s and they have been running for months. I hope it is an anomaly.
  24. I see a hot spot of of MOC's when I look at Ontario. I haven't heard of any muggle problems around here, so I winder what gives? It must be an awful thing to "winder", . See my post above for explanation of Ontario "hot spot".
  25. The CO of PM caches CANNOT legitimately delete the log of a Basic Member if the cacher found the cache and signed the log book. If this happened to you, contact Groundspeak and they can re-instate and lock your logs. As for PM caches, I suspect the original concept occurred when GS was creating the Premium Membership feature and needed things to include in the offering. PM's were simple to implement and added to the value of the PM. What I don't understand is why people get bent out of shape about them. Ignoring them is pretty easy. And they represent a very very small percentage of caches out there. Surely, those who don't like MOC's can find lots of other caches to find. All of my caches are MOC. I originally started it to prevent one local cacher from knowing where my caches were. He got twisted up because I helped another cacher with one of his multi's when a stage was missing. The cacher threatened to find and steal all of my caches. The humorous part was when he actually bought a PM to see my caches, even though he hadn't found a cache in two years and has never found one since. If you want some interesting reading, here is a link to his complaint about me helping a fellow cacher: http://forums.Groundspeak.com/GC/index.php...=143930&hl= I have continued to make my caches MOC because I enjoy seeing the Audit Log and seeing listing visits from all over the world. I doubt many CO's created their caches as MOC because they feel PM's are better cachers than BM's. I certainly didn't. And I have no problem with BM's logging finds on my caches.
