  1. Has anyone ever noticed how in most great duos, one goes on to be forgotten? For example Simon and Garfunkel (who lucked out there?!), Tom Hanks and the other guy on "Bosom Buddies"... interesting stuff, people. I didn't have anything to say about clam chowder...
  2. you're very welcome I'm also a big fan of the caches in the Muttontown Preserve -- shut up, Joe. That was pretty much my backyard as a kid -- spent countless hours there with my friends and my parents... you never get sick of exploring it. AND, if you go in the summer, there's a peacock who hangs out and is bizarrely friendly. Is that a locationless?
  3. No threatening Neil's knees, please! Or I might have to go ghetto on your @ss. And I agree that the Valley Rally is the best multi 'round your way. We here in the sticks like "GeoCacher's GeoCache" -- definitely gives the Valley Rally a run for its money. But the Valley Rally still wins.
  4. Don't do it the weekend of the 9th!!!!!!!!!

  6. Oh, were you trying to get me to invite you to be the keynote speaker?
  7. It was submitted last night. GPSFun is pretty quick about it, so I was actually surprised it didn't go up today, however it should be up by tomorrow. I'll post it here when it goes up if that would make things easier for all of you.
  8. I love getting updates on caches I've visited... however seeing as how I'm at #341, this is getting to be a little too much and perhaps I didn't plan it as well as I could have. Something I've started doing is weeding out archived caches, caches that weren't as "wow", etc. This would be MUCH easier if when you viewed your watchlist there were boxes you could check off and THEN hit "remove", instead of doing them one by one and doing the clarifying. It takes forever. Also, if you had the option to put ALL caches you've logged on your watch list -- and you could set this or not... but that comes later. Those check off and on boxes for removing from the watchlist would be so fabulous right about now. Thank, Czarniecki314 (NancyCz)
  9. Hey, all you North Easterners. Since Bennington, VT is right on the border of the North East I thought I'd give you all a head's up. On Saturday, 9 April, at 9 a.m. I will be hosting the Bennington Area's first event cache. YAY! There are TONS of awesome caches right in the area, so make a weekend of it -- there are cheap places to stay right in the area. If you're interested, email me through the website and I can get you more info. Also, keep your eyes open for the listing -- the zip to check is 05201. Should be a great time -- hope to see some of you there!
  10. (Don't know why I'm helping you fools out) In the words of the great Squealy: SHUT UP AND CACHE!
  11. I'm planning my first event cache and would like to get it submitted tonight, here's what I've thought of as far as preparation... anyone have any thoughts? - permission/heads up to eating establishment - some sort of "goodies" for attendees - emails to area cachers to let them know it's coming Is there really anything else that needs to be done? I'm in an area where GeoCaching is becoming more popular, so I'd really like this to be successful. I'm thinking the event would be breakfast, and that I'd make photocopies of a list of local caches so that if people come from out of the area they could possibly hit a few. Anything I'm forgetting?
  12. On the 22nd Squealy and I headed out of town to go to Haverhill, MA (you wouldn't BELIEVE the saturation!). Decided since he only needed three more we'd hit them on the way so that one of mine could be the big 800. Couldn't find one, so he ended up doing "Foreign Ex-Change" in Green Mountain Nat'l Forrest. Just an interesting note: exactly one year before hitting 800, Squealy had a one cache day -- we met up after he had karate to say good bye before I headed up here and we did "Quick Pick Me Up" in Manhattan -- #376. Good job, Neil -- onto 900! edit: random punctuation!
  13. They're using an AMMO CAN at tribal council!!!
  14. Congrats! Why are you kicking Bella in that picture? It's not nice! edit:.computer sucks which is why this took so long.
  15. Congrats from Mugsy and myself! Good meeting you and caching with you a few times!
  16. If you want to spend less than $100 for 2 people you should definitely go to MY favorite spot... MARS 2112! Whoo hoo! Shut up, Squealy... it's freakin' AWESOME and weird and kitschy and you ALWAYS have a laugh. Look them up.... it's subway accessible and so much fun. Also, it's right near alot of the NYC Virtuals and micros. It's got a space theme... aliens and whatnot. The bar is pretty amusing and the food is really good. They have good cheesecacke, too. Hello?! Aliens and cheesecake... Smith & Wolly's is an excellent choice but as Squealy said, be careful on the drinks. It gets VERY expensive if you start ordering bottles of Sterling.
  17. you all peel the labels off your beer bottles, don't you...
  18. I'm going to say the 1st of September. Be warned, folks: Neil cheats at wagers!
  19. Gambling is the devil's game. That said, I'm in!
  20. Congrats from me and Mugsy, too!
  21. Hear that, Squealy?? Five years is WOOD! edit: wrong form of "here"
  22. I'll nominate Squealy... can't remember the last time I saw him wearing something other than his "rotting" shirt.
