  1. They seriously think that if you just Disable the listing that no one except the "cache honoree" can be first to find? Come on!
  2. If you look here you can see a pretty good overview of total caching, and I see a lot of upward trends. As for us individually: I would say we're doing pretty good this year, considering there's only a few months left of our brutal Floridian summer, during which we do the least caching, and our cache/day ratio is still high (For us at least!). I say we are on course for the most finds in a year yet. So to answer your title question, I would say yes.
  3. Very nice! Although I'm not answering your original question, may I make a suggestion? Please label that it is a geocache on the outside of the container. Other than that, it looks awesome!
  4. There should be, but no. One of the things on a lengthy list of stuff that needs to be changed about Adventure Labs...
  5. We're not having the best luck with collecting all the wonders without trying. We currently have found 24 caches since the challenge began, and we still need 2 modern wonders. I seems like all we ever find are Chichén Itzás...
  6. Found One! https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC8YTVR It's a new one too. Maybe the bug wasn't fixed after all... The cache was created after Moun10Bike posted this.
  7. I'm not exactly sure what you want, but if you give me more specifics I'm happy to help!
  8. Seriously? Are you running an ad blocker? I still see them all.
  9. Lots of threads on that already Here's one:
  10. It's good to start with some of the lower difficulty puzzles and work your way up. I'll list some good puzzle solving resources below (Credit to @niraD for putting the list together!). How to solve Mystery Caches (also known as Puzzle Caches) (blog post) Puzzle Solving 101 Series (bookmark list) Calgary Puzzle Solving 101 (bookmark list) Puzzle Shortcuts Series (bookmark list) Solving Puzzle Caches (online article) How Do I Solve All These &#$@! Puzzle Caches? (tutorial-style puzzle cache) Geocaching Toolbox ("All geocaching tools a geocacher needs in one box.") Puzzle FUNdamentals (archived event cache) and the Puzzle FUNdamentals resources on the GeocacheAlaska! education page The GBA's Puzzle Cache FAQ (for puzzle designers, but useful for understanding how puzzle caches work) LANAKI's Classical Cryptography Course How to Puzzle Cache (book) Did you read the cache description, read logs, and check for waypoints? Sometimes that helps! Have fun caching!
  11. There are some around our area that have 2 modern wonders. I'll look them up. Edit: Of course when I go looking for them I can't find them... I'll let you guys know if I run across any.
  12. You quoted me, so I figured your post had something to do with what I said, but apparently not.
  13. So... How does this have anything to do with the size of Russia? Thanks
  14. Yup. Russia is the largest country on earth by size, so it's bound to cross quite a few time zones.
  15. St. Petersburg is technically on the European side of Russia. Why they list is as Asia, I don't know. I would definitely disagree with the recent blog post about that. Although I don't understand where your going with that whole Seattle in Asia thing. There is a Chinatown there though...
  16. At least it clearly states that it's a geocache...
  17. Our ratio is 1,965 Finds to 168 DNFs. Although our DNF count isn't exactly accurate, so I wouldn't compare it to anyone else.
  18. Don't take it personally. It happens to everyone here. We like thinking people's opinions are wrong
  19. I would assume you wanted the Petra cache to have the Petra Wonder? That would have been cool!
  20. Sadly, that doesn't appear* to be possible on that device. *I don't own one, so I can't say for sure.
  21. I've never seen irony or sarcasm on these forums and that irks me. Maybe you should read the rest of my post. For real now, back to irks.
  22. Maybe they're both being sarcastic Anyways, back to irks.
  23. How, if it's deleted? I think @dprovan is just being sarcastic...
