  1. I'm sorry, I'm just expressing my point of view.
  2. What if we don't want to? We have gotten near perfect coords with google maps on a parking lot hide...
  3. I was thinking that too, although I was going for extended. I don't think anyone knows yet...
  4. There are a couple of different ways to get coordinates using a non-gps device. You can use the regular geocaching app by finding a somewhat nearby cache, going to the waypoints section, and creating a new waypoint by clicking the plus. Make sure you have location on, and copy the current location. Another way is you can use google maps if the cache is not in a forested location by clicking and holding on the spot where your cache is located (this method generally works best for LPCs and like). I'm sure there are other apps you can use too!
  5. Hi all, we are TmdAndGG, which consists of Tmd, the mom/chauffeur/helper and Gadget Guy(GG), the kid who is obsessed with geocaching. We are relatively new to the forums, but have been caching for a little over 5 years now. Stay safe and have fun!
  6. We are in FL, which has a "stay at home" order for the state with basically the same guidelines as PA, and we just went out and found 11 caches at a local park. In my opinion, just make sure to social distance and wash or sanitize often and you should be fine.
  7. It really only took 5-10 min of research... But thanks!
  8. I believe it could be this cache --->https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC3X9QQ_usbr-1968 RWB713, it appears that you are a basic member (not paying). That could explain why it was not showing on your map. The stamp on the log appears to be that of Sandpig --->https://www.geocaching.com/p/default.aspx?guid=2b7fa955-e60c-48b4-a4b1-cb1313a37b42, due to the resemblance between their profile photo and the stamp.
  9. I don't believe that it's possible to embed one, but you can link one using the <a href="replacethiswiththeurl">replacethiswithwhatyouwantittosayonthescreen</a> HTML tag.
  10. Go to Project GC. Then go to map compare under tools. Enter your username in both slots. Choose your location and "none found" amd "both found". Then, click "choose filter" and select "show disabled/archived. Choose archived and then Filter. That should work.
  11. You could also put the <img src="replacethiswiththeurl"> tag in you description.
  12. There are many different websites out there(which I probably can't link..) that contain many different codes and ciphers, which can usually make some pretty cool puzzles.
  13. The official guidelines state 2 miles, but if you get permission from your local reviewer you can do more.
  14. You can put the link to the picture this html code <img src="url">. You replace the "url" with the link to the picture, which you can find by right clicking the image and selecting "Copy image address". You then can put the HTML code on your profile. Hope this helps!
  15. Thank you all! We aren't used to the new changes, but have gotten it working properly now. We appreciate the help!
  16. Using html code on a cache description, and when we preview the cache page, it still shows the code, not the proper display. Even sections of the code that we copied directly from other published caches, does not display correctly in the new one. Do we need to submit it first, before we can see the proper page display, or should we be able to see it before submitting this for publication? Thanks in advance!
  17. Thank you to everyone who has taken the time and effort to respond. We have a much better understanding now of the options and the pros and cons of each.
  18. We've always geocached with our android app. We were wondering what are the advantages of using a separate gps device?
