Hi Brian! An Etrex H is a great stater gps. You probably won't be disappointed. By lead do you mean cable? If so the garmin units all use the usb mini-b type plug. You can get them at any place that sells cameras, or other electronics. Just take it in, hand it to the guy, and say "I need this sort of cable!" Works every time.

I don't really understand the whole FTF obsession. The only reason I can think of is to try to snag an FTF prize, but few ever have them. It doesn't really matter to me. I guess it just comes down to what you view gc'ing as - to me it's a hobby, like fishing. Sure there's a goal, but it's the getting there that's the fun part. If you see it as a game, then you're only going to be frustrated because someone else is always going to have more free time, more resources to throw at it, a fanatic mentality, and a huge head start. You'll never "win", and it can only lead to dissapointment. In the end i guess it's like anything - there's always someone out there willing to get all bent out of shape and throw a punch over some conceived injustice, no matter the size or setting. The trick is not being there when it happens

I don't mind if someone discovers my coins or travel bugs out in the wild. Quite the opposite, I like having an update and the whole point of them seems to just be the social networking factor; someone discovering it part of its history. That being said, while at events I don't pass more than 1 or 2 of my coins around, and I only discover the few coins that I actually find interesting. At the last 2 events I discovered 6 trackables each. I don't like logs being spammed with dozens of identical and meaningless messages just so the number on someone's profile can be slightly bigger. But that's just me.

I am looking for a yellow (or white, but preferably yellow) Mimbres v2 (fish and bird) coin. I have to trade for this an orange "The Wizard / Quality control" mystery coin, pictured below. Already traded. Thanks all!

My heart desires Northern Right Whale Digital Hell (Copper/green) Mimbres v2 (in yellow!) I FINALLY managed to cross the Karma coin off the top of my list though, very happy about that.

I have a venture cx as well, and I had problems for a while too. What browser are you using? I had to switch to firefox. You don't need to be a premium member for that feature though......

Hmm, still nothing here. Edit: Wow stupid moment here. I guess it would help if i actually clicked the "Send to gps" button in the pop-up window. Ouch, my pride. Second edit: Ok, maybe i don't feel so dumb, it still isn't working in firefox. Works in IE though.

Send to gps isn't working for me either. I've tried both IE and firefox, on 2 different machines and it still won't work. It worked before though, maybe a month ago...... Plus, when I go to the Garmin Communicator Plugin Test Page to check it, nothing happens. It says "Garmin Communicator Plugin Test Page" and there's some quick links and other stuff, but as far as testing goes it doesn't doo anything. Anyone know what's going on?
