The "2007 Geocoin Poker Challenge" had a tourney at GeoWoodstock 5, and will host another this weekend at the GeoBash. Last year's GeoBash and GeocoinFest2007 also hosted a geocoin poker tourney. Ya I seen those, I am looking for one for the Ohio residents close to my area. Thanks for the reply!

Well as some already know I have been thinking of a personal coin design. I have attached below a very very rough piece of concept art for the front and was wondering what everyone thought so far. This will be a custom shaped coin with white being cutout if feasable. I also am still trying to decide who I want to mint this as I would like to establish intitial contact via phone. I would love to go with Oakcoins or Hogwild, but cannot find a number for Oakcoins. I am also wanting to do a LE edition of Orange Camo on the LE version. Feedback is appreciated.

I got to thinking today that it would be neat for some geocoin collectors/geocachers gathering and having a Texas Holdem Tournament. I would be willing to host it somewhere here in ohio. I think it would be neat for buy in you donate a coin to the pot, and can rebuy up to 2 times with stipulation being 2 coins per buy in. Winner takes home all the coins! Has this been done before or is this even a good idea. Heck I dunno even how many collectors are in my area of southwest Ohio. I have a log I may be able to get Near Lebanon Ohio. I guess I am trying to see if there would be a good attendance if I made this event. And also wondered if a $5 registration fee would bother anyone just to recoup some of the cost of reserving the lodge.

Have a very limited supply of these left up for trade, as I plan to place some in some lucky cache's this weekend.. Around 5 Regular Size, and 1 Micro. These are all out of the first batch , I also submitted this Sig Coin to geocoincollecting.com and was told they will be approved so they should be on my trading list soon as well

Couple caches back I hiked about a what seemed to be 2 miles to the cache and upon opening the ammo box, the hinges on the lid slipped right off from rust. I had no tools to get the cache back together so hiked back and fixed it and returned the cache needless to say it was my last of the day!

Just last week I was trying to find a cache. It was a nice little hike and once I got there I tried to sign the log and didnt notice my pen exploded and had to leave a smudge for a log

There was a cache that I was really hyped up about and had planned my whole caching day around it, as I am a big TB and Coin mover. WELL I was very dissapointed to find when I got there it had transformed from a ammo box to a baby food jar with just a log that was so soaked it was unreadable or loggable.
