  1. I have the larger red and gold and it was also made with the translucent enamel going all the way out to the edge. Not sure why the larger coins were made this way or why the correct pictures were not shown on the website, but I agree that the coin looks better with the metal outer rim with no enamel.
  2. Another beautiful Tsun design
  3. Which version of "Gone to the Dogs", there are two? There is one by Geocoin Designs with a bunch of dogs on the front and a dog bone on the back. There is one by Coins and Pins with a dog sniffing out an ammo can on the front and holding the ammo can in its mouth on the back. If it is the one by coins and pins, I can get you one.
  4. Does anyone have an extra 2010 Butterfly Geocoin - Orange lowlands version available for trade?
  5. Count me in I would attend and make it a vacation trip with Canyon Jeeper (hubby) and Johnthesalty (son). We would drive from Florida and stay at least a week to get in some hiking, caching and sightseeing. Maybe even find one of those beautiful Cowgirl coins
  6. ??? Hi, Don't want to say too much but I've seen the address on the packing slip somewhere else... PM me if you want more info. WOW....good eye, I would have never noticed that Now that I have looked at the packing slip again and another "something" I have received, I see the connection you are referring to.
  7. I have not seen this version before. Can you tell me the name of this version and where it was sold? Thanks
  8. Cointact Unit Study Group Member reporting for duty; Cointact #45 has safely reached its destination. I have placed it in a secure location for safekeeping. Thank you for selecting me to be the guardian for this very mysterious disc of metal material
  9. Tsun: I would LOVE to come play in your backyard, the pictures you take of the area are gorgeous!!!
  10. I had a friend pick up some of these coins for me at GW8 and they are BEAUTIFUL I missed the tie-dye but I did get the pink, purple and red versions. GREAT job on these beauties!!!
  11. WOW....that two-tone is GORGEOUS congrats!!!!
  12. Dale, I've been putting together a team and proposal to have it in the Panhandle as it seems unanswered airport issues was our downfall last year. However this year our new international airport is open! Rather than work against one another, maybe we can work together to have GCF brought anywhere in Florida. I'll email you privately later tonight after work.... I would also like to see this event came to Florida as it has not been held in the lower Southeast yet. The last MEGA event held in the lower Southeast would be GW III in 2005, held here in Jacksonville, Florida, wish I had been a cacher then . Good luck Dale & Barb and LionsLair on your bid for this event
  13. Congrats to all who have received this cool coin.
  14. Congratulations to those who have received this beautiful mystery coin

Seems we are there at least 1 day every weekend lately NICE design, all the metals look great and the two-tones are gorgeous.
  16. Congratulations to the lucky chosen recipients :-) Will we get to see the other side of the coin when it starts arriving in mailboxes or is it to remain hidden?
  17. I think this is my most favorite version of all of the 10 Years coins. CF30 LOVE this coin!! Can someone please post a picture of the back side?
  18. Great job Yime!!!! You got into your opponents' heads and psyched them right out of the game, way to go
  19. i am pretty sure you have this backwards. i had the first edition of the coin and it definitely lighter. the second minting were darker, with more antiquing. i bought the first minting from the store and it has a different activation code than the later mintings which simply said "castle" rsg That's a pleasant surprise. I kept the slightly lighter one. Nice that it is one of the first. I had assumed it was a later "improvement". It would be cool to get everyones tranqs together and compare these minor differences. Numismatists call these subcategories VAMS. Can't remember what the initials stand for. VAM collectors are the geeks of the coin world. The Geeks' Geek. Not that we are geeks or anything. Well at least im not Haysonics, I could be mistaken but I think Lara (RSG) was referring to the "Antique Gold Tranquility" in her reply, not the "Dark Tranquility" in gold that has the translucent enamels.
  20. Cool. This is probably the only way of verifying! There really is no way to tell once the coins are in the secondary market, the AG v1 from the bronze, I was told it was the insert color. That one had orange the other had white. Well, mine has white and now I am told mine was an AG v1 instead... oh well. Having seend the AG v1, AG v2 and bronze side by side it comes down to opinion and since the sample set is so small it's impossible to sell what belongs where. i thought you said you didn't have a bronze? were you just able to see one? i would give my eyeteeth to have mine back again. rsg Several months ago I was working on a trade for an Ant. Bronze but after numerous emails with Castle Man and another cacher who owns an Ant. Bronze, Ant. Gold V1 and Ant. Gold V2, we discovered the coin, unfortunately, appeared to be an Ant. Gold V1. Here are the differences between them, as I was told: Ant. Bronze: white insert, mixed activation code, barely any antique finish, much yellower than the gold ones. Ant. Gold V1: white insert, mixed activation code, antique finish. Ant. Gold V2: yellow insert, same generic group activation code used for all of the later mintings, much darker antique finish. I own the Ant. Gold V1 and V2, but unfortunately I still have not seen the Ant. Bronze in person. I have only seen it in pictures that were emailed to me. Karen
  21. i am pretty sure you have this backwards. i had the first edition of the coin and it definitely lighter. the second minting were darker, with more antiquing. i bought the first minting from the store and it has a different activation code than the later mintings which simply said "castle" rsg I believe Haysonics is referring to the "Dark Tranquility in gold", the one that has translucent enamels. I do believe there were 2 mintings of that versions, according to prior posts in this thread.
  22. The ant. bronze is so hard to find, you're lucky to own one I still need the ant. bronze and the Portugal gold to complete my collection. I agree with you on the glows; when I got my first glow I thought they were pretty ugly. I would not own them if it were not for hopes of one day having all 38 versions. If I ever run across a blue one I'll let you know. Karen
  23. I have 2 mintings of the ant. gold: 1 light, 1 dark. I have 2 mintings of the Blue Is My World: difference in colors. I have 2 ant. copper coins that look different to me, not sure if there were 2 mintings of this version. I am sure there are other versions with more than 1 minting. Karen
