  3. DISCRETIONARY BONUS POINTS FOR DECEMBER

I will be away from tomorrow until 3 December without regular internet access. Monthly scores will be published 3/12/2009. Apologies for any inconvenience. Please note that the same will apply to end of December as well. I will be in South Africa for a week over Christmas and will be back on line around 3 January with scores, etc.

Here are the bonuses for December.

50 points for any TB left in a cache on Christmas Day.

10 points for any TB placed in a Botanical Gardens cache - substantiate fact with a note to administrator if name of cache does not mention Botanical Gardens.

Any TB that was dipped PRIOR to 25/11/2009 will receive total amnesty under "Day of Reconciliation Rule". [All forfeited points due to dipping to date will reinstated.] Note that this Rule will NEVER be repeated so don't even THINK of dipping your TB's hoping that there will be another amnesty - it will NOT happen again!

    Happy caching everybody.

Starting to sound a bit like SARS!!

  4. Hi guys, seeing as most of you geocachers are outdoor people and love camping and 4x4ing etc, I thought you might be interested to know that I have a shipment of surplus Delkor 102 ah deep cycle batteries that I need to get rid of, If you would like to purchase one I’m selling them at R950, that’s about a thousand rand cheaper than an outdoor or battery shop! drop me an email to let me know,...........and now back to the caching!!!

  5. Maybe you could hold an event like crystal fairy did in GP called Murder by Numbers, check it out, It was a murder mistery that teams had to solve clues to find out 'who done it' they involved the local SAPS station and officers actualy attended and helped set up the'Crime scene' this helped the local Saps to understand geocaching and what is involved!!!!

  8. Hi Guys I am considering doing a big event (sponsors, prizes ala Crystal Fairy style) I just want to see how many people would be interested in doing an event like this again? would be over a weekend with accomodation for those who travel from far off (fish eagle!!!!). let us know if you guys would be interested! :P

We're keen for another big event. Had great fun at the last one Crystal Fairy did in Midrand. Maybe you can consider a families category as we cannot keep up with adults only teams.

good idea! will work on a family 'class' :P
