  1. I think my son would cut off his right toe for a Star Wars Lego geocoin. A Star Wars coin would really go over well with mightyzinn. That and a Lego coin. Naturally, the ultimate coin would be a Lego Star Wars coin. Oh, yeah, both my Speeding Element and Orlando511 would LOVE either kind of coin. Mostly a Lego dude would be excellent
  2. While we're new to geocoins and have only purchased a few (not enough to do any trading) our son immediately snagged the blue morpho when it arrived......sigh
  3. Awesome! All fixed. They now say "WDD 2007 Commemorative Geocoin"
  4. My husband released one today into one of our caches (GC163W4). Hope it travels alot. I wish there was a way to change the name of it though from "No Name Bug". It's ok though.
  5. We bought our 6 year old a blue Etrek Legend on ebay for about 75 including shipping. The only bad thing is it's a serial port so if you are using a laptop or new computer, you might not have that. He loves carrying it, and it's sturdy. He can also beat us to the cache most of the time.
  6. We went to the zoo today in Oakland, California...we were looking at the Morpho. I was mortified when our 6 year old pulled the beautiful morpho geocoin from his pocket, but it did make for some cute photo's. Someone asked where we got such a great souvenir! ha!
  7. Wow, the blue morpho's flew right into our mailbox today in California. Gorgeous!! My son quickly snagged the blue sparkly one (I don't know the technical term) and it's on his bulletin board.... VERY NICE!
  8. My husband and I were out caching today and were talking about how great it would be if park trails were on our GPS.... Does anyone know of a way to download park trail maps onto our GPS'? I was thinking how awesome it would be for state parks to offer that on their websites!
  9. I say drums, flute and trumpet. The flute player also plays the clarinet.
  10. 1. Internal 2. Yes 3. 41 4. Female
  11. We are fairly new (60 finds each or so) and usually have the kids with us. We used to let them switch off on taking swag and leaving a trade from our stash (or their stash). Now a lot of times they don't want to trade but when we do, it's a great lesson for them on "what is equal or better" then what they are taking. We always leave little dinosaurs (usually 2 or 3) in caches, and in micro's we always try to leave a quarter for the next person. When we cache by ourselves (ahhhh, it's so nice with out the minicachers sometimes) we take nothing and leave something. We just prefer it that way.....
  12. What fun!!!! I hope you have fun with "trick or treat"ing tonight!!!! 1. 9:27am 2. 7:02 pm
  13. Happy Halloween!!!!! What a fun cointest! 1. 5:37 pm 2. 7:49 pm 3. 64 little ghosts and goblins!! (in our neighborhood, we wil be lucky to get 3 trick or treaters, but in my past neighborhood we would get about 300)! Stacey
  14. We've only placed two, and the first one we left no FTF prize, for which I felt very guilty (I had no idea there was such a thing). THe next one we put an unactivated micro geocoin. I bought 6 or 8 of them on castle coins. They are a nice prize, I think.
  15. Palm M505 with base, and 2 cases on ebay for 14.50 (what a fluke). Workds awesome, we can't believe we were able to find anything before we got the PDA a few weeks ago!! A great investment!!
  16. When I paid (last week) it took about 2 hours to get the registration confirmation email and it went to my SPAM folder, so check there!!!! You will love GSAK when it is registered. Those nag screens were driving me batty!
  17. We bought a box of 300 "counting" dinosaurs, (used to help children learn math, counting and grouping). There are 4 styles and 4 colors, and are really cute. We drop 3 or 4 in every cache we come too. Not really a signature item, but a way to put something small and cute for the kids in a cache. I think when we run out, we'll do the same thing again. Stacey We have alot of 99 cent stores and craft stores that sell ALOT of small things in a bag for about a dollar or two. My brother was Paratrooper in Vietnam and he puts in little parachuters.
  18. Oh my gosh, yes, at least register for a Premium membership for 1 month at $3. Then mess around with pocket queries, and waht we love "caches' along a route". It's so SWEET! A premium membership is totally worth it. Espcially the pocket queries! Stacey
  19. One of our TB's got logged into an event and it was quite a while before it moved on. Markey ended up putting a cool tag on it then got it moving. I was thankful for the tag after it got on it's way, but it did move after a while. So keep the faith! Stacey
  20. As an Ebay seller (not of coins), I would NOT refund the money if the person had elected to not purchase insurance. I think if you don't get insurance (for $1.40???) you are taking a chance that you will lose your purchase.
  21. Thanks, everyone for the replies. After emailing with the first person stung, I found out where the bees are, and advised people to park and go in from a different direction by posting it on the cache page with a caution note. If it continues, we'll move the cache, archive, and post a new one. Thanks again!
  22. Hi, my husband and I hid our 2nd cache in a pretty great spot. 2 out of 3 people that have gone there have posted that they got stung by bees, and the 3rd was the FTF and said no bees. We tromped all over and thankfully didn't get stung. We DEFINITELY don't want anyoen getting stung because we have kids and want this cache to be kid friendly. My question is, my husband is going to go out and move the cache to a better location away from the bees (that are coming out of the ground). Am I goign to be able to update the coordinates in the cache listing page? This is probably a silly question.... Thanks!
  23. We had something similar to this happen. We placed our ladybug travel bug in a cache and the VERY NEXT DAY the the travel bug was picked up and logged by a cacher but he posted that the actual wooden ladybug was missing. Within one day!! It wasn't easy to get off, either. Someone had to work to remove the ladybug. It made me so mad, but the nice guy who picked up the TB mailed it back to me, and I restarted it with the same type of tag. I do live by the rule "if you place it out there, it's out of your control now". I learned that lesson fast!
