Thanks caderoux for all the info. We really appreciate everyone's input. Can't wait to check out some these caches.

We're going to be in New Orleans for my son's National Karate Tournament next week and we would like to do some caching while were here. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Sure would like to see them make their way to the New Englad area. Very cool

Excellent Thanks
-
I leave them. Some of my best caching experiences are DNFs

I like my Etrex cammo 'cause it is nice and small for discrete caching.

Thanks Geo*Trailblazer1. Looks like everyone had a great time at your event and for such a wonderful cause. I'll be looking forward to using the quilt. Can't beat Geo-cachers. Thanks again. JMQ

I just got the palm (almost 2 months ago!) and have got any of it figured out yet. I may just have to break down, spend the $7 and start out the easier way. Everyone does keep recommending it. Is that a one time fee? Or a once a year fee?
I believe it is a one time fee. Its pretty cool.

$7.00 bucks you can't beat it. Cachemate is excellent.

Thats what were planning on doing. The troops will be going to church than making breakfast for Mother's Day while I watch, then out caching. Now if we can just get Grandma to go we'll be all set

Ya sure did. Guess those stamps really work. Imagine that
Thanks JMQ

Check is in the mail again. I guess a letter really needs a stamp to get somewhere. Hopefully it will be there in a couple of days.

There's nothing better then caching with family. My oldest son has his own GPS which was given to him as a gift for Xmas & my other boy uses our GPS. They're having fun and learning at the same time. You can't beat that.

They check is on the way. Thanks
-
I think its an excellent idea. Just let me know where & how to purchase a raffle ticket

I was wondering if any one might have any info on I where might be able to apply for a grant to purchase gps'. I'm trying to put together a presentation for our Board of Ed.

I tried adjusting the contacts and powering up with using the different sequence of buttons but it didn't work. Followed your suggestion and called Magellan. Sending the GPS in for repair. Thanks for the help. JMQ

I've been using a Magellan Meridian Platinum GPS for geocaching for the past 3 months. The GPS was working beautifly. I went to turn it on today and nothing happens. I tried changing the batteries several times with new sets,& I also tried hitting the power & escape buttons to power up but, to no avail.Just wondering if anyone else has had this type of problem with Magellan.Figures we were leaving for our first out of state Geocaching weekend.

Sorry if this is a stupid question but, what do I do with the coin? When I tried logging in the number for Travel Bugs there was no record of the number.
