  1. Looks like several were dropped in Kansas and not picked up yet!

I would not buy air fare to Kansas, at least not for one of these. They were dropped here and my phone was soon ringing. A couple of cachers came down from Kansas City to look for them and wanted to use the phone a friend option. They were hoping that the multi-cache that they did the math wrong on would still have a coin in it. The local cachers jumped right on these! Glen

edited to spell couple with only one "P"

  2. I will be looking forward to this one! Too bad the mail truck coin has already been done! Maybe you can do a UPS Truck pulling tandem trailers for all of us next. :) Just think of a three coin set with the tractor and two trailers to decorate, some places they pull three, I think Australia lets them pull six or seven... that would give you plenty of room! Glen

  3. Nice coin! Weren't these the same type airplane that "Pappy" Boyington Black Sheep Squadron flew??

Nope, as I recall, Pappy flew the Corsair. The next coin coming out. Both were awesome airplanes for their time though.

My son is a bonafide P-51 nut, so this one will cost me two sets. Thanks, Glen

  4. What started out as a great day went rapidly downhill. I received a August 2005 First Finders Dance, a ??Mystery Puzzle coin, and three Isle of Man coins today. Then my wife received the credit card bill

    That is a great line..............

What was in my mailbox? 20 of the forums coins  ten of each finish....

A postal Jeep brought my Postal Jeep..

I can now cache from Dawn til Dusk...

And a copper Geocoinfest, I really hated missing that! Glen

  5. This is kind of a funny and timely thread. I had a trade request for a Yellowstone coin. I cannot find it. I scrounged through the boxes, envelopes and bags on my desk and could not find it. Then I got into the two .50 cal ammocans that I have my coin collection in and after digging through that mess, I am still missing Yellowstone. If my desk was not such a mess..... It was cool to reflect on how a lot of those coins came into my possession though. Thanks for a fun and light thread. :D I am sure I will be doing it again in a couple of days.... Glen

  6. I have some honeybee experience and more wasp experience. Our last caching encounter with the yellow jackets had a 13 year old and a ten year old running around in circles screaming about how bad it hurt. When the two boys finally came back to the car for a little medication, they were laughing about screaming like a girl. I missed the angry little pests somehow. I need a couple of these, actually three, one for me and one for each of the girls... Glen

  7. Wow! I managed to get in for one of each! For an old LandCruiser fan, these were high on the I want list! Thanks for the opportunity! I had two blue Cruisers, a mustard yellow Cruiser, two white Cruisers, and one very ugly brown one. Like a fool I sold them all. Actually, I meant to keep one, I had two advertised. One guy said he would be back in a little while. While he was gone a friend bought the other. As my luck would have it, the CruiserDude showed up and took my little blue FJ40. :D A different CruiserDude I am sure... Glen

  8. Nope! I may have to try a photo coin. Glen

Now there's a "come on old man photo" if I ever saw one...... He just does not understand why I cannot run 40 mph uphill, through the valley and back to the truck. :D:anibad:
