  11. Maybe this is why? "Database Update (May 16)wrench We upgraded the Geocaching.com database between 8:00-11:30 PM Pacific on Wednesday, May 16. This new upgrade will hopefully speed up the web site and create a more enjoyable browsing experience for everyone. With a significant upgrade of this type we may see some issues over the next couple of days. We're also still spinning up our secondary databases that keep the load off the main server for often used queries (like the nearest cache page). So you will most likely see a gradual improvement as the other machines come online. Thanks for your continued support of the Geocaching.com and have fun caching!"
  12. Just a quick note to let ya know I received mine in the mail today - they look awesome! Thanks DD

  15. The NON fantastic sevice of the server continues!!! I spent over 10 minutes TRYING to log a simple find.... What gives???? I might as well go back to dial up for the ammount of time I spend waiting for Geocaching.com to load it's bloody pages! So much for hugh speed.... Maybe they should start a mail-in cache logging system - it woudl be faster some days! DD
  16. I too have received NO PQ's since the 20th - and this is the THIRD time I have had this happen. The other two times Groundspeak's fix was to recreate them. Funny how they worked for 4+ years and suddenly in 6 months I have to continually recreate them... All that seems to have done is move me waayyyyyyy down in the que..... And I also cannot access the Groundspeak help page to log a problem... Jeesh... Time to spend some subscription cash on upgrades fellas!
  17. The forums on the GSAK site are awesome... there are tons of users there eager to help and you usually get a reply within 24 hours. DD

  21. I am curious, how do original CD's get "destroyed" ??? 10) MapSend Street v1.0 (THIS IS A BACK-UP of an ORIGINAL that *I* BOUGHT) -- the original was destroyed, and being the slightly cautious person that I can be, I backed it up when I bought it... which most times turns out to be a waste of a CD ROM, but in this case was a good idea! There is nothing left except the two CD-ROMS. I also wonder why, if you are "the slightly cautious person that I can be" you do not have a backup of the other software pictured ? Just wondering.... 24. Ok... it seems it didn't for some reason like the adapter not being plugged into the USB cable. Once I plugged that in, it worked like a charm... Hope this helps others too! DD
