Hi,
TopangaHiker, here.
I'm kind of new. I just got my first GPS: a Garmin 60CSx.
I really like it and after only on day have found my first GC.
Anyway, being a Realtor I came upon this idea:
A program that could convert assessors parcel numbers (APN) into map coordinates and visa versa.
I can't tell you how many times I've had the following conversation.
Owner of some vacant land: I own some land and want to know what it's worth.
TopangaHiker: Great! What's the address?
OOSVL: Uh, I don't know.
TH: Hmmm...well, can you tell me where it is?
OOSVL: Well, I don't really know.
TH: Do you have a survey?
OOSVL: No.
TH: Do you have an APN?
OOSVL: Oh, sure, it's ...
Anyway, 9 times out of ten it's landlocked or impossible to find. Seeing it on a county assessors map is one thing. Finding it is arduous.
I plan on creating my first GC very soon.
Thanks,
TopangaHiker
