  1. An International Cache Exchange. I send "goodies" from this region/USA to someone in another country, that person sends "goodies" from their region/country over here. Then we hide caches in our respective areas, submit the cache in our area for approval, and maintain the cache. When the "goodies" in the cache gets low, we let the person in the other country know for them to send goodies to replenish the cache. Both names appear on the cache, mention of the cache being an "International Cache Exchange" is noted on the cache page. The person who sent the goodies names the cache in the other country. I would name the cache in the country I sent my goodies to. Basically, setting up a cache in another country. This isn't a multi cache. Thanks.

  11. I'm from Moscow Idaho USA and happen to run across the GeocachingUK page....I too am sorry to hear of "The Cat's" passing!! I have never met him (obviously) but the passing of any geocacher is sad news, especially one who did so much!! My condolances to the family, as well as my husbands, Moun10goat. ~~LadyStevenson
  12. The coins are really nice looking. Good job on the design. It's just too bad not to many cachers from the east side of Washington State (not east side of Lake Washington) didn't have much input here!! Maybe something like Grand Coulee would have been more central or the Apple Orchards mid state. Anyway. Good job on a really nice looking coin!!
  13. Well, I would like to send congrats to Candence in regards to this! Being moun10goat's wife, I can tell ya he had a good time with the human cache!! (frickafrack I believe was his direct quote.... ) This was a fun experience to at least watch if not participate in!! ~~LadyStevenson
  14. So it is true....you do need help....? JUST KIDDING!! you did put yourself out there!! Loved seeing you again at the Pizza Party up in Spokane last night!! ~~LadyStevenson
  15. It was wonderful to see so many people turn out for the event. I think that everyone who attended was surprised by the attendance, and yes, I concur Turtletrax. It probably was just to see Wiz drink his beer and spin his stories... Seriously, I believe Moun10goat already paid dues for the both of us. If there is anything the two of us can do to help the Inland Chapter (Washaho...was that it...? ) get going, let us know. We'll do what we can. It's really great to see that Wiz has been elected president of the chapter....and see how easy it was wiz, little did you know all you had to do was leave a room and the power comes to you!! Also, glad to hear that most Idahoans have been allowed in... hahaha. Let us know if we can be of help!! ~~LadyStevenson
  16. just a quick note for everyone!! First of all, to go from #17-18 to #19-20, the map shows to go down on howard st....that's a no go, that goes right through Riverfront Park, it's a walk way. If you shift the route over two or three blocks, to Washington St. , then all is cool. Secondly, everyone, bring a flashlight and make sure it's got strong batteries ...#85:Cache Explosion#1 is located in a blue spruce AND it is a micro capsule, a bison capsule(dark blue in color) Enjoy and I must say, I will enjoy watching this one being searched for.... 17. I have a small request....keep "Walk the Boardwalk" in!! This one is a kick, imagine 50 however many geocachers trying to be discrete on a floating boardwalk....I loved doing this one anyway. INGENIUS! "All that I am or hope to be I owe to my mother" -- Abraham Lincoln
  18. A Run Through Joe Albi----you can park with in 10-15 feet of this puppy!! This is the inspiration cache for "Goldwood" by OddTodd and Moun10goat! (As well as others...) "All that I am or hope to be I owe to my mother" -- Abraham Lincoln
  19. Howdy... You may want to tweak the route a bit around Monroe St. Bridge...I believe the bridge is still under re-construction and will be for quite a while. You have us going over it between cache#20 ..."Between Two Bridges" and cache#21..."Upper Falls". Just some quick info... "All that I am or hope to be I owe to my mother" -- Abraham Lincoln
  20. quote:It's 1000 feet from Further up, Further in. GOOD LUCK!! -- as LadyStevenson laughs like a mad scientist...... Bring your hiking shoes!! It's not a long hike but it's in some brush!! And watch out for the nettles!! Moun10goat and I will just stand back and smirk as we watch all the poor cachers try to find this one.... Are we meeting at the Travellodge and at what time? "All that I am or hope to be I owe to my mother" -- Abraham Lincoln
  21. We are soooo there!! Where do we meet and when do we meet? Okay, I'm a bit ahead of myself..... Never done a cache machine before and I lived in Spokane most of my life (I'm 34 and lived in Spokane for about 30 years...bring on those caches!!). So, how does this work, do we all go to the same cache's at the same time or what? I CAN"T WAIT!! --LadyStevenson!! "All that I am or hope to be I owe to my mother" -- Abraham Lincoln
  22. rayt333, You make a most excellent point. Good job on pointing that out. I believe that the kids were just a bit excited and that they are just looking for another GPS> Good for them on getting excited about a positive hobby. Good job rayt333 on catching my foible. Positively speaking rayt333, you would make such a wonderful presenter if you could rephrase your eloquent and charming wording!! Thank you so much for allowing me to change my ways. I look forward to seeing more of your pleasant posts.... Have a fabulous day rayt333!! LadyStevenson!! "All that I am or hope to be I owe to my mother" -- Abraham Lincoln
  23. Brian, may I call you that? I actually looked into this Affiliate program also, like you did. I was interested about all this hubaloo.... You mentioned a couple of posts up about "fill out the form, then call and place an order and give them your affiliate ID or place the order online and just modify the URL to include"&Affiliate=youraffiliateID". That's all." From what I'm readying on the Affiliate Page at Lazerdesigns.com, in the first paragraph, when you call in on their toll free line, and they ask how you -- the caller -- heard about them, you need to give them your site name. You do need to have a site. (From experience, the company does verify the site.) You do need to set up a web page for the products to sell them. As far as becoming your own affiliate and ordering from the company yourself....cool go ahead. Like it says though, they do ask for the site name. As far as ordering from the company directly, again -- cool! Some people want to do that some people don't. Some people find it easier to remember the name "Geocaching Supplies" because it is similiar in name to "Geocaching.com" rather than remember Geocaching.com and then Lazerdesigns.com. I know I personally would end up asking why am I cluttering up my mind with "Lazerdesigns.com" --why was that name important again? Common link type of thing. Not everyone wants to sell, so why set up the affiliate program when you can order through GeocachingSupplies.com? When you're affiliated with a company anyway, wouldn't that company want you to make money for them? So, why would they become affiliated with you if you are selling their products to no one but yourself? Not much profit there...is there? Yes, you did attempt to explain how the affiliate page worked and you got most of it right. Good job!! You just missed one slight point. With all the information out there in this world, if you want to remember the name of one more website so you can order direct from them, then please do. Yes, I know this is partly my site also. I did this for one basic reason. IT"S JUST EASIER when someone has done the footwork for me....all I have to is click the mouse a couple of times and I'm done. The name association is also easier to remember and I'm associating with someone who is interested in the same hobby that I am. Have a great day Brian!! --Regards, LadyStevenson [This message was edited by LadyStevenson on July 25, 2003 at 11:03 PM.]
  24. Well, Rayt333, maybe it was the honest to goodness truth. When kids get excited about something, sometimes in their excitement, they go overboard. Why are you so negative? Are you an instigator just looking for trouble? If you have nothing positive to say, maybe you should just move on to a different forum or posting. Not everyone wants to read a "snappy" degrading reply. Why should we have to? I think it's cool that the Girl Scout troop is doing something positive -- it's better than a bunch of kids going out and pilfering society. Good job on the positive effort Sheri. And Ray, please do NOT respond if you can't be positive....no one here wants to read it. Have a bright sunshiney day, rayt333. God loves you!! and we are trying to love you also!
  25. At least I can say the music is off. About the prices, well, can't do much about that...sorry.... "All that I am or hope to be I owe to my mother" -- Abraham Lincoln
