  1. I dug up this post so I wouldn't have to start a new one. (maybe I should have.) Would it be a hard thing to change our zip coordinates? Or at least assign the real Enumclaw's +4? Og
  2. Good luck to everyone! May the best county win~ Og
  3. Enumclaw WA's zip is terribly off. I really don't mind, but it would definitely cause problems for out-of-towners searching for Enumclaw's closest caches. The cache closest to our post office doesn't show up on a 98022 search until page 3. For some reason Crystal Mountain is where our zip coordinates are. If you have some spare time, map 98022 and see what you get. It's kind of funny, in a barren mountain map way. Og
  4. Very good Sax. You get a happy face! Og
  5. I'm a firm believer in MANI-CACHE DESTINY. And I plan on voting that ticket. OG
  6. Sorry Sax, My fire wall blocks all PM's.......maybe an e-mail? I'm open to that. You figured it out that quick? sheesh I guess I'll have to think harder! Og
  7. Here it is! Approved in (gotta be) record time! (less than an hour) by Team Misguided! What do you think? Og
  8. The package of NG adventure paper I have says: "Waterproof Inkjet Printing Material" It also says: "NOT intended for laser printers", and, "Some excess inks may lift from material when wet".
  9. We have a local hider who has come up with many different ways to puzzle us. Here is their profile. These are not multi caches, just interesting way to get you puzzled. Check out their "See Me", "Hear Me", "Feel Me" series. And the "Clueless in Kent" cache. Hope that helps.
  10. Last summer I read daily and occationally posted. After awhile I became tired of arrogant posters and stupid arguments. I actually took some remarks personally and began loosing interest. This even affected my general outlook of caching. I began caching less and eventually took a month or so off. I'm back now with a new and improved "forum skin"! I've realized that you'll get jerks anywhere you go. The forums and the "sport" are two totally different things, one is for fun and the other is for talking about it. I really like the changes that have been made to the forums. I'll more than likely not be so much of a lurker from now on.
  11. What a great year it's been! I read the forums often last summer and had some good laughs. (the river dancing grandma comes to mind!) I eventually got tired of all the arguing and petty remarks by certain posters and I stopped comming here. A few weeks ago I started "lurking" and really like what I'm seeing! My vote goes to Jeremy, or whoever is responsible for tidying up around here. Renegade Knight gets my non-admin vote.
  12. DUH! I figured it out! See? Og Prophetically Challenged (or is that Pathetically?)
  13. UHM.......where do I put my words? Og Prophetically Challenged (or is that Pathetically?)
  14. Thanks~! Prophetically Challenged (or is that Pathetically?)
  15. I need to know how to make bold red letters on a travel bug page. I asked this in the getting started area, well, can someone give it to me in plain english? Thanks in advance! OG Prophetically Challenged (or is that Pathetically?)
  16. Maybe the owner feels that you are giving away the experience by posting so many pictures of it? I wouldn't worry about it. Send those extra pics by e-mail to your friends! Move on. Og Prophetically Challenged (or is that Pathetically?)
  17. How do I make bold red letters? I tried to do a search to no avail. Any help would be appreciated! OG Prophetically Challenged (or is that Pathetically?)
  18. Ya know, I can't think of anywhere one would find a toy porcupine? Maybe you could make one out of bake-able clay? If you're not at all artistic or adventurous, maybe you could print a nice picture and laminate it? Og Prophetically Challenged (or is that Pathetically?)
  19. This is a great thread. I will have to agree that finding an accurate benchmark has to be the best method for a non-military-type to test accuracy. I wish I could mount my unit to an F-15's windshield but that's out of the question. I found a famous Markwell Photographer's Cache this summer where I'm pretty sure the coords were found on the web. I tried like the devil to zero out my GPSr, but "ground zero" was behind the ranger shack that was the objective. The closest I got was 1 foot. (not bad!) I handed the unit to my daughter for the pic and it mooved to 3 ft. My kids thought I was nuts! Making them stand behind the shack while I did Tai-Chi with a GPSr. LOL Here's the pic. 20. I've sent my guess. If I'm right, it only took me about 5 minutes. A lot of cachers don't bother with the forums and might not be able to find the user quickly. I do like your idea, though. Very inventive. Og Prophetically Challenged (or is that Pathetically?)
  21. I like the idea. If we could check which bugs a person has moved, we could get an idea of approx. how long they like to hold onto bugs. Not that would help in locating MIA bugs but it would be a neat addition that I would use. Og Prophetically Challenged (or is that Pathetically?)
  22. Uhm...My name's not Vlad but let me explain. I would go out at night if I worked late, but I don't work at all now so I choose to go out mostly in the morning. Maybe I'll down a few beers one night and head out for a few FTF's. It does sound like fun! Og Prophetically Challenged (or is that Pathetically?)
