The cache would be compromised (muggled) if non-cachers (muggles) are able to look up your sig item.
Cache longevity is dependant on non-cachers not finding it.
If you're thinking of turning your ladybug into a trackable item, you could purchase a Travel Bug tag and apply the code numbers to it.
The ladybug will literally be swag. I don't have plans of it being a trackable. The QR code is to direct them to the Geocaching website
Well, AFAIK, there is no such thing.
Most caches large enough for swag should have a stash note inside saying what the container is and how the game's played.
The only people who should be finding the cache are those already geocachers.
If you're hoping to keep your signature swag safe, then maybe you should rethink whether you want to put 'em out.
I'm sorry but you have confused me. Surely if i place the lady bug with the info inside the cache I have just found in replace for a swag that someone else has left, Im not actually doing anything that could comprimise the Geocaching game/secret.

Welcome to the amazing world of Caching and this (quite quiet, these days - there may be a Geocaching Facebook Group near you, which may be more active) forum. I don't leave items in caches as a rule, but have dropped off Geolympix AANDs (Aluminium Alpha-Numeric Discs - a thing for setting and finding puzzle caches, or useful for setting multis) in caches all around the UK and overseas too. Lots of people have a little something they found 500 of on eBay cheap (micro torches, other tokens, even tea spoons!) that they do leave though. Often something with their caching name on it, if it's a 'Favoite' cache (in their top 10% of favourite caches; if they're a Premium Member, they can reward the cache with a Favorite Point) and they want to mark it as special.

Do you think a little ladybug glass stone would be an okay gift to leave in each cache big enough? If so what kind of writing should i put with it? reason im asking is that i want it to have a wow factor for little ones to find.

Hi Everyone!
I'm pretty new to Geocaching and was wondering if you all leave a little signature item or a token gift in each cache you find?
My family want to leave a little ladybug with a piece of card with our geocache username on for the next person to pick up.
Does anyone else do this and how does it work?
Is there a certain way you have to do this which in within the Geo-cache rules?

Thats what I thought, Ive managed to create a QR code to add to the back.
The piece of paper i have added has this written on it ....
This cache was found by LittleCacheSeekers ... Geocaching since 2014 and has the geocache logo on it the front and on the back it has ... The QR code and 'To find out more about Geocaching scan the QR code to go to the official website.
Ive only added that part in case it is found by someone who isn't a Geocacher!
