Our first casualties!!!! 1 Strike says goodbye to FlyEagles & E&CBombers, whose 'Boys got mauled by Tha Bears... TheQuarter whose Ravens got flipped by the Bengals... and StMoose who went ooops! (9 of the 12 survivors Packed it in!) 2 Strike bids adieu to GoosCrew whose Patsies dropped the battle of News. E&C and FlyEagles left the ranks of the unbeaten as the 'Boys remained in ranks of all beaten. (See above for StMoose). 3 Strike, PAGING TEAM MERCHLINSKY! While it's sporting of you to give us all a 2 game head start, we do miss ya! (see above for StMoose)... Minnie made sure that AlmostPerfect is just that, while Dollass got E&C. and TheQuarter was devalued by the Titans. 10 of 12 winners were PackerBackers, and we do have a couple praying for the Saints tonite!

After last season, you should have to spot 2 then pick Detroit!

Remember, GCCoiners & GCCoinsurvivors are 2 & 3 strikes respectively- I see some teams who picked up 1st strike haven't picked yet- and wanna make sure they're not throwing in towel too soon. (I know there's plenty of time...)

Going by league- 1-Strike: Everybody survived! 11 played it 'Safe' with Tennessee, coulda been momentous if they coughed it up! 2-Strike: 4 picked up first 'K', BigK 86'd by the 49ers, GoosCrew bucked by the Colts, kungfu hippy shocked by the Chargers, and TheQuarter flipped by the BenGals. 3-Strike: Ashallond, BoilerTodd, BigK (again!), kungfu hippy( ditto!) all got zapped by SanDiegone and there was one 'ooopsie! darn it!). Entertaining first week, don't forget to vote early, vote often!

Do I sense a lot of geocoins in the mail to the officials in the Bears- Lions game???? Close for a lot of folks!!!! Thanks to that play, all in the One-Strike group advanced! (even 'The Quarter' saddled with Tampa.)

Just a note: it seems that this thread is covering 2 leagues (TW, correct me if I'm wrong)- Triplewisdom's (which from posts is apparently full) and Mountainracer's (GC GeoFootball) which is the one I'm referring to in any of my posts. Could be fun to try and follow when the smack starts to fly !

League is still one team short on drafting (odd number of players, need at least one more to open up draft. 3 spots left overall. League culled to 10 players, still waiting for #10 to sign up...(info was sent to 'Tha Saint'- if you didn't get it let me know...)

Most of the games here utilize the Yahoo Sports fantasy set-ups- all the work is pretty done for you, there are multiple scoring options that can be chosen/setup by the person running the league. Haven't looked into it myself, but they do have Hockey: http://hockey.fantasysports.yahoo.com/hockey As to relating to Geocoins, it can be another way to hold a cointest- winner of league gets prize based on whatever the league starter sets up. This Football league has the winner getting a coin from each of the other players at end of season. I have some 'pick 'em' games set up where I will send winner a coin. Just set up rules ahead of time so all participants know what's expected & have fun!

Commish is again Tim, Crimson Cobras, and invites should have gone out to all of last season's managers. Currently there are 9 of 12 teams re-upped. It is going (the same one as last season, presuming the same prize rules) and it is one player short of being able to draft.
