I have started to look at another option on this too but will look into it as an extreme attempt at doing a bit more than Twins and Mitre.

Am I really that lonely out here.... Hey I was going to hide one on the wall at my home that is only 30 meters away from where am sitting. 10 from the front door. I think what you mean is that I have to drive 100km to find one. Actually my last find was over 300km drive and it was in JHB. I drove past plenty while I was there but felt that most were either going to be risky, or time consuming. Time was not on my side nor was the better half.

Er what? OK wait how about everyone in KZN come place at lease one in my area...... Bwhaaaaaaa

Was it just me or did I see everything start working again 2 days ago. Right after QFC was last active. Shows you that caching helps get the brain freshened up again. Thanks QFC, the site seems faster now too. I don't know if anyone had the same problem that you would wait ages if you hit the update stats button. Now it is a few seconds and it is in.

Sorry QFC, never ment it to be as a negative. I did notice that some stats would not update. But I tested it just now and it is working from my side again. Stats are updating 100%. Thanks the site is great and I am sure that all that use it appreciate the efforts you have put in. I for one am really grateful for the hard work you have put in. I am not sure if everyones stats are updating but it looks like it now.

Seems like the finger was taken out the Pi. I see that my stats were updated. But I have just logged another find so I will see after the next update if I have been counted......

Still not updating my stats. Got 7 finds and 2 hides in in the las few days. Me thinks it's broken again. But then again I see other peoples stats are still working.

Uh my tent poles are made of carbon fiber. Will that conduct electricity. Nope I have another plan. Will take a few little windmills up there and when everyone gets to the top have them put their mouths by the windmill. All the huffing and puffing should be enough to turn the windmills, these can then be connected up to generate electricity. At least that will be environmentally friendly. Will get some of Neville Bailey's fake rocks as a cache container so it looks right and will harm no animals in this mission. Bwhaaa haaa haaa.

The site seems to take a long time to load even on 3G-HSDPA. My stats don't update every time. Like now they are 7 finds behind. Otherwise they are great. Nice to see who the active bunch are and the guys getting milestones.

Just wondering, what is everyone's cacher mobile. Do you tackle it by foot or have a great big 4x4. Post your pics. The more outrageous the road/trail to vechicle ratio the better. I have a little Corsa Lite that I seem to drive where it definitely shouldn't go. I allways refer to it as my 4x4.

You have a point there. But I might want to make a unique card with a photo of me holding the particular cache with the other guys and the mountain in the background. Hee heee

Well done Carbon Hunter on the 50. I see that you did the 3 caches in Heidelberg today. I was there on Friday. Pretty easy caches although I saw that the co-ords were a bit out on Armour Car, did you have the same problem. Also Visserman is actually on private property and the owners are not even aware of the cache.

I realized now that I was only a few kilometers from your event Damhuis Clan. But as I was at a family gathering and we had kuired quite a bit already by then I was not going to make it all that easily. Eish. Should be up on Tuesday again. Will see what my agenda is like. Maybe we can get together for a quick visit.

I don't think it is possible to get hold of a 9km long extension lead - it will be far more practical to take a generator up the mountain with you. A 1.5KVA unit should do it... Mmmm true... Is is a diesel driven one? OK now you make it difficult. Guess I have to carry some diesel up there too. OK but you can maybe roll the barrel through the tough sections for me then.... Somewhere between the first river and the spot for lunch. I'll help you get it back down....

No really I can't recall if I left my calling card there. Come to think of it I didn't leave one in Second Prize either. Probably wont fit. Will try it though. If it doesn't fit I guess I will have to return again, with a smaller one. Note to self: Take small ruler with to measure size of second prize cache container should my standard calling card not fit. Also pack small portable printer and laptop should the need arise to print out new calling card. Also take along laminator to laminate new calling card and guillotine to cut new card to size. Don't forget paper and laminate. Also due to battery life on laptop been suspect, take long extension lead, around 9km long to supply power on the mountain to run laptop. Right bring on the mountain........ Eish!!!
