  1. I want one...... OK here is the next question.... how do we get to have our own minted....? What are the costs...?
  2. Thanks, do a search on caches around Sundowner and you will find a few from there. Magnanimous Revisited, Firstcache, Ferndale Spruit and Ag Pleez Daddy are a few nice caches or spots I found in the area.
  3. OK but I must say I am not the most active of cachers.... Unless I drive long distances from now on.
  4. True.... But it is close as I can get on an answer. Maybe Groundspeak staff can do it for you.

Give the dog a bone. Well done Willow.
  6. Cincol, just tracking my TB will let you know which caches I have been to. So you can see my travels. I also know where I am. But following my TB is basically following me. So put my TB on your watch list.

  9. Mmmm North Riding, my Sundowner Cache is near there. I would like to have a foreign visitor sign one of the cards. On the subject of Harties I wanted to leave a micro on the wall but then I thought about it. There must have been a few there already.
  10. Easy, sort of.... Get a TB and attach it to yourself. Then drop it in a cache and take it out for each visit to a cache that you do. You can track my cache hiker TB. Basically I will put it into a cache and take it out on all visits. There may be an easier way, but this is one that you can try. Or you can also be the TB I guess. Wear the TB at all times and someone who sees you could probably log a find. If it turns out that a lot of logs turn up on the site from different people between your cache visits, it may be that you are either at an event or lying down some ravine slowly rotting away. So we can also check on the logs to see that you are OK or not.

Thanks Rhino for the congrats both here and the call. It was a long slog to get there but I have enjoyed it thoroughly. I better watch out for Willow...
  12. Ooops I double posted. I saw strange lights while traveling home one afternoon. They flew in formation and one did a sudden dive away from the others down towards the ground but stopped just as quick and carried on again in the same direction and speed of the rest. Was really weird.
  13. Never mind that I just spotted the cache container. Hint... Shoulder height just between the chevron boards and it is red, box like container. What is the waypoint I wanna log my find.

Thanks Redglobe.... You know how it goes. Probably will slow down again as I have only 2 to find that are close to home. Everything else is over 100 kilos away.

Tell you what I will swap you my Corsa for your Hummer and I will throw in 3 unactivated TB's a Micro container and a unused logbook and pencil.
  18. I love a quick roadside where there is a grave or monument with some history around it. I have one that I was going to place ages ago but still haven't done it. Maybe one day soon. Will have to see. Very interesting although a long read behind the site. We drove pass the monument a few months ago and I read up on the history and was quite surprised to find out the story behind it. Now just for the story the cache is worthwhile. I think it needs to be a multi cache though. So i will have to search a bit more.

Thanks Larks, Carbon Hunter and DiePienaars. Was a long time to get it but I finally made it. Did a FTF on a cache placed some 80km from home. Colling's Pass (GC18VAT). Turned out to be much too easy to find but the problem was to retrieve the cache. The long arm groping under a rock on the edge of a steep embankment was just a bit much.

So you live in the Cape and have lovely sea views, but that water is cold. I would not brag about that. Oh wait this is about cacher mobiles...... Nice...... I can show you a few caches that that might get to..... At least me Corsa 4X4 can.

Ah but he may find a Leprechaun and a Pot of Gold. That may be a good thing or it may be a bad thing.

Well done to Brick on their 600 & Cache-Fan on their 900 finds. Awesome.
  24. Easy way to get a log validated is to post a question on the log book and the finder has to verify this via a message through Groundspeak. If they don't answer the question they cant claim the find. Thus log gets deleted. Question can be related to the cache or area, maybe what is the 3rd word on the sign just a few meters away. Lots of ways to get round it. Or ask them to send a picture of something at the cache site. I did that to see how a river changes through the different times of the year.
