Closing at the request of the OP.

The current.gpx file is an OUTPUT file on the unit. It is not an input file. You would need to delete the Favorites on the unit not in that file.

What OS on the computer?
What internet browser and version are you using?
-
Plasma Boy, as indicated by Bear and Ragged and jholly, you can use those GSAK macros and be in compliance.
-
With the eTrex Venture HC, you will not get the additional geocache data natively. The unit doesn't support paperless caching natively.
However, you can use GSAK and Pocket Queries and the appropriate GSAK macro along with Garmin's POI Loader software to load SOME of the geocache data to the unit as Custom POIs.

Alternately, you can use a secondary device (as mentioned above) to load the detailed cache data.

Otherwise, sharing of Pocket Query data in not permitted in accordance with the licensing agreement.
i have recently pointed out this myself to someone, but they were talking about sharing it with a group of non-premium members
in this case, i really don't see what the problem is, each is a PM running their own PQ's and comparing...this situation to me doesn't qualify as sharing
However, the license agreement states ...
Uses Not Permitted:
• Licensee shall not sell, rent, lease, sublicense, lend, assign, time-share, or transfer, in whole or in part, or provide access to the Data, Related Materials, any updates, or Licensee's rights under this Agreement to any third party whatsoever.
...
Licensee shall not remarket, resell, and/or redistribute the Data or any derived portion(s) of the Data in its digital form to any third party whatsoever.

The data is licensed to a single user account.
The agreement that we all agreed to prior to getting Pocket Query data spells this out.
http://www.geocaching.com/software/agreement.aspx
...This is a license agreement, and not an agreement for sale, between the end user (Licensee) and Groundspeak, Inc. (Groundspeak),
...Groundspeak and its licensor(s) retain exclusive ownership of the copy of the Data and Related Materials licensed under this Agreement and, hereby, grant to Licensee a personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to use the Data
...Permitted Uses:
• Licensee may install the Data or portions of the Data onto a global positioning system unit ["GPS"] for Licensee's own internal use.
...
• Licensee may modify the Data and merge other data sets with the Data for Licensee's own internal use. The portions of the Data merged with other data sets will continue to be subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
...
Uses Not Permitted:

What operating system does that Ericsson phone run?

Have you tried zooming out on the map to see if the number changes?

Notifications is what you need.
http://www.geocaching.com/notify/default.aspx
Scroll down on your account page and look under "Premium Features".
Select the "Publish" notification. You also should set up a "Retract" notification.

Please stay on topic ... even in an old thread.

1. http://www.geocaching.com/pocket/ http://www.markwell.us/pq.htm
2. The GPS unit will only show the caches that have been loaded to it in advance. It doesn't have any means of showing caches that haven't already been loaded to it ... if that's what you are asking.
-
I don't think that you are going to get "solid proof".
Attributes are somewhat subjective by their very nature.
-
The cache page shows that it was archived on October 20, 2010.
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=c3ad6076-6651-458c-97f4-2567d88d061a
Are you sure that it wasn't loaded to your GPS unit prior to that?
Note that if it was loaded to your GPS unit before it was archived, loading subsequent PQs won't necessarily delete the the "old" data depending upon how you are loading the data.
The cache shouldn't, however, be in a PQ that is from three weeks ago.
The best way to make sure that you have fresh data in your GPS unit is to download it and load it right before you go caching.

Moving to the regional forum. Thanks for posting the link.

Yep, blood, dirt, grass, sticks .... lots of things can be used to sign the log.
-
In that very first link that was posted, it indicates that you must download and install the Garmin Training Center first and THEN download and install MapSource. That's how you get MapSource installed if you don't already have it on your computer.
-
Fiberglass and resin is what I was going to recommend as well.

You cannot load "waypoints" or "geocaches to the memory card.
You can, however, load the locations as Custom POIs to the memory card using Garmin's POI Loader software.
