+Alibags
Has Alison given you the prize yet? Prize? Surely you mean honour and glory! Quote Link to comment
+Happy Humphrey
Well done, TDW! The race was won in an amazing quick time...thanks to the group (tribe?) who must win the award for the best geocaching name in the world! Now who will be second? HH Quote Link to comment
We're The Alarwi
Hallo, Great TB racers! The pesky little grandchild horrors who masquerade as We're the Alarwi have gone away now - some to be fried in the ME - and left me as confused as ever to act as their spokesman. Having almost been the architect of the Wonderful Witch-person's downfall at the weekend I'm pleased to have been able to persuade the unspeakable little tykes to allow me to right a dreadful wrong, and do whatever was necessary to make sure honour is satisfied. Today wasn't without its problems (there was one time when I thought I was going to have to dive into a pit of slurry to complete the task) but eventually the lights came on (they take a bit of time at my age) and the little greeny-yellow mite was snuggled down for a well-earned rest. NickPick
Well done TDW! now, can anyone remember who bet that the race winner was going to take 3 months, 12 days. Now we've just got to wait for the rest to catch up. Quote Link to comment
+milvus-milvus
Well done TDW! After flying back in record time (and a short detour around Spain), our TB has now gone into hibernation somewhere near Leeds... I seem to remember guessing it would finish last Sunday - that's pretty close..? Can't wait for the Prem race! Baz. Quote Link to comment
We're The Alarwi
Reflective Clown made it to its target cache first - I think! The bad news for Third Degree Witch is that the Alawi have picked up the bug and, having assumed that the race is now over, are now taking it abroad - to "sunnier climes" (again!). I think this may be a sabotage mission rather than a misunderstanding though - rumour has it that the Alawi have just purchased a Ferrari cachemobile, handing over a wad of fifty pound notes they'd just "found" in an alibag. This means the bug hasn't made it to GCN8JQ, so it appears that the race is still on... HH I think this may be a sabotage mission rather than a misunderstanding though - rumour has it that the Alawi have just purchased a Ferrari cachemobile, handing over a wad of fifty pound notes they'd just "found" in an alibag. Sounds like them! Didn't take you long to get their measure, did it? (Grandad The Grey - Usually SoToBeds) Quote Link to comment
+The Hokesters
What is the form now then? Do we change the bugs missions or are we waiting for them all to come home? Si Quote Link to comment
NickPick
We wait. Well, I suppose you can change your bug's mission if you want, but we did have a 'bet' as to how long the 'last runner up' would take to arrive. I'd personally like to see how long it takes to arrive. Quote Link to comment
markandlynn
Yep there was a bet i think the last wager was 20 equal length sticks and a pile of stones Quote Link to comment
NickPick
And a soggy logbook! Don't forget the soggy logbook Quote Link to comment
+The Hokesters
OK if we are taking bets for when the last TB comes in - can I have 'Never'. Obviously I realise there might be a long wait for payment Quote Link to comment
markandlynn
The answer is quite obvious Someone independent has to nominate a new destination cache for the TB's to race towards. as for that soggy log book i'll gladly swap it for a blunt pencil and an empty / frozen biro pluss my pile of equal length sticks and pine needles Quote Link to comment
+Bekandian
We have moved!!!! Well, Tank has anyway. He is currently in the hands of "teddie and bear" The race is on!!!?! Quote Link to comment
+Alibags
Well, I think we should gather up all the bugs in the target cache and then when they are all back safely, think of another race goal and set them all off again. Quote Link to comment
NickPick
Good Idea. But let's not use Queensland this time eh? Quote Link to comment
markandlynn
Good Idea. But let's not use Queensland this time eh? What about this cache Quote Link to comment
+Sensei TSKC
Probably just as good as Queensland! Quote Link to comment
+Alibags
The target cache is not *too* far from me so in theory I could go bug napping as and when the bugs turn up. We should let our glorious winner design the next race... but with opt in and opt out for them as wants it! It may be a while before all the bugs get back though, but at least they have now all moved. Quote Link to comment
+The Hokesters
If they all get out of Australia in the next five years I will be mightily surprised It's a prison colony you know Quote Link to comment
+Mad H@ter
If they all get out of Australia in the next five years I will be mightily surprised It's a prison colony you know You ain't kidding, it's a Jumper has now been put in a cache on a small island just off N Australia that's only been found 6 times since July 01, I'm not sure they will make it in 5 years at this rate . And to think it was the first to move, were not quite so cocky now . Quote Link to comment
