tossedsalad Posted June 22, 2005 Share Posted June 22, 2005 I know you didn't ask for advice, but a friend has one of the yellow eTrex units and it does not do well under tree cover. My Merigold does much better. While his unit points within a 100 foot circle, my unit will be in a 10 to 20 foot circle. I don't know about some of the newer units like the explorists or the iFinder GO. But they should be better than the etrex and possibly cheaper. Oh, and the eTrex screen is not very clear either with poor resolution. I think the iFinder GO has a very small display too. Just FYI. Link to comment
