Ladycacher Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 I am designing my own Geocoin, but I am having trouble with the design on the back. Does anyone know somebody that helps with ideas and designs? Thanks Quote
Ladycacher Posted May 19, 2005 Author Posted May 19, 2005 I just changed everything again...I think my problem is I am not being patient with myself and not giving myself time to brainstrom. Quote
Renegade Knight Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 It takes awhile for all the ideas to come out. Then longer still for the ones that won't work to fall out so you have left the coin you want. Quote
Team Tecmage Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 If you look at some of the threads for state coins, you'll see it took LOTS of people a lot of time to pull together designs. Take your time, play with lots of ideas and you'll find what you're looking for. Quote
Shop99er Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Take your time. It took us two months to hammer out the design for our coin, and we had a pretty good idea what we wanted when we started. Quote
Damenace Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Take your time. It took us two months to hammer out the design for our coin, and we had a pretty good idea what we wanted when we started. Started on March 6th and it will be perhaps just over three months from start to finish. Patience is a virtue when it comes to coins, especially when you have to start dealing with the manufacture. I would not try to accomplish this task in less three months take your time, you will be happy with the results. Quote
tabulator32 Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Where do you get your coin "minted" once you have a design? Quote
Team Tecmage Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Where do you get your coin "minted" once you have a design? There are several companies that mint coins. KVCoins, Aaron Charles, Coinsforanything, Pressed Metal, etc. Quote
avroair Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 I used: Quality Lapel Pins since I wanted a different look to mine. Took about 2 hours to hammer out the design, but i knew kinda what I wanted and worked it a bit. Can you describe or post things that interest you? Quote
Ladycacher Posted May 19, 2005 Author Posted May 19, 2005 This is the front. It will stay this way. It is the back that we are having trouble with. Quote
FISUR Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 ladycacher: That's one excellent front side. I like its regional (Texas) theme. For the flip side, how about a "ladycacher"? We've been working on a new geocoin which might have a lady cacher, FISUR Babe, on one side. We developed a design using the Hero Machine, found at UnderGroundOnline (ugo.com), and we received some input from MountainMudBug concerning the color scheme. It's still a work in progress, but here's one version: For an example of a recent geocoin with a person on it, check out nicolo's geocoins. Very well done. Also check out brdad's Public Domain Geocaching Logo Page. Good luck with your geocoin. FISUR Quote

Alan Ellis Posted May 21, 2005 Posted May 21, 2005 Ladycatcher: Will they make your coins with sequential numbers? What company are you using? Thanks. AE ------------------------------------------- www.JackieandAlan.com Quote
