shazpedro
Found a Travel Bug with a serial number printed on a piece of wood. Not on one of the metal tags with bug on it. As I am new to geocaching is this normal??? Shazpedro Quote Link to comment
avroair
This would be an item you can track on a different website. Quote Link to comment
+Square Bear
It could also be a replacement TB dog tag, I’ve seen a few that have been made out of laminated paper and one that has hand stamped on metal. Quote Link to comment
+Jojogirl
It is not normal. It could be a number of things: a replacement for a TB that went missing in action a TB by someone who thought the original ones are boring and used his original TB number on a home-made tag a TB-like tag from another tracking-item site I would try the number on the travelbug site to see whether is it a TB. If not, then check the cachepage of the cache you got this item from to see if it has the item on it. If that is not the case, the owner has been smart enough too make his own traveling items but dumb enought not to attach instructions. Quote Link to comment
