capers19
My cache was submitted a week and a half ago; still no reply although it was acknowledged. How long is too long to wait? Quote Link to comment
+mtn-man
I'm sure they will get to it soon. That is a bit unusual. One thing you will have to do is take the scissors out of the cache. If you go forward with getting those out it will move that much faster. Quote Link to comment
+hydee
I am wondering if preparations for the upcoming GeoWoodstock III has them a little swamped, I will see if they need some additional help for a short time. Thanks for your patience!! Quote Link to comment
+RockyRaab
As amazing as it might seem, geocache approval MAY not be the approver's only job. I know, that sounds unbelievable, but it's true! OK, lame humor attampt aside. I placed a cache earlier this week. Put it out in mid-afternoon and listed it on geocaching.com about 4 p.m. It was approved and posted by midnight, and had three finds by 10 a.m. the next day. That's not unusual here in Utah. VERY rapid service from our admin - but this is a very cache-intensive state with a gazillion cachers active. Quote Link to comment
Trumper
I think it varies by the volunteer assigned to "approve" a particular cache. Some are Speed Gonzalez, some are 3-Toed Sloths. Luck of the draw.... Quote Link to comment
+Snake & Rooster
I just had one approved by West Coast Admin yesterday in 26 minutes! Now that's fast! Quote Link to comment
Black Mage
Utah Admin is great, most caches around here are approved within a day. Quote Link to comment
+gkuchera
Yup I have a cache that has been in the queue for about a week now too. I also have one that was posted last night.. Neither of which have been looked at to my knowledge.. -gkuchera Quote Link to comment
+gkuchera
On the lines of getting a cache approved I have a question: If your cache submittion gets archived for some reason, mine was deemed dangerous which I agreed with and decided to move the orgiional location to a better location. The question being: once a cache is archived is it dead? or can you resubmit the same version with changes? I ended up submitting it again as a new cache request. -Geoff Quote Link to comment

You can also email the reviewer telling them that you moved it and ask them to unarchive the page for you. Quote Link to comment
