Partnering With Non-caching Organizations

Has anyone done any interesting partnering with municipalities, musuems, etc. with their caches? I've recently been in contact with our local park district about geocaching.

 

There is a great children's museum in our area. I'd love to find a way to incorporate the museum with caching.

 

Has anyone placed a cache in cooperation with a museum? Are there any museums out there that have placed caches?

This cache in Colonel Denning State Park in Pennsylvania was placed by the park's manager (who coincidently has been recently transferred across the state to my hometown)

 

I don't want to give away the secret, but this cache involves close coordination with DCNR officials...

I tried talking to the local arboretum, but things never really got going. It was over a year ago and I agreed to use natural features as steps in a multi. The final cache would have been placed in a pedestrian friendly location. I think they were undergoing some changes last spring that precluding pursuing this. Unfortunately, life got in the way for me and I have not had a chance to try resurrecting the original conversation.
