Muirwoody
There will be a program at Indianapolis's Glendale Mall Library on Sunday May15th at 1:30 p.m. The topic is: "Geocaching: The 21st Century Treasure Hunt In Indy Parks" It will apparently be geared for beginners. I received this information from an individual at the Indiana Historic Landmarks Foundation who asked that it be passed on. I'll probably go to see what others are learning about the hobby. +sept1c_tank
Please keep me posted. The Plainfield library (I have a cache there) asked me a year ago to help them with a similiar program. At the time, I didn't feel experienced enough and my schedule was quite busy. This summer may be different. Quote Link to comment
Torry
Any idea who's running the program? I hadn't heard anything. Quote Link to comment
Muirwoody
It must be a local cacher "teaching" it, but I don't know who. The person had contacted me and another cacher last year about helping develop a couple of Indy Parks "theme" caches around George Kessler and his parks (Brookside, Ellenberger, Noblesville Riverview?) but that idea has apparently been changed to the May 15th program. This is the profile of the woman who contacted me about the Glendale program- her email is on the profile: HistoryHunter Quote Link to comment
Strohem
I believe it's Team J & K. Quote Link to comment
TEAM D & D
They should make it an event cache. Maybe some newbies will find out about it that way. Quote Link to comment
