Couch_Potato
Not exatcly what you were asking, but little hint from Finland anyway: Nordic Walking. Not too sure I trust a site that tells me this: "For a person of your height (160 cm) the best pole (nordic_walking) is 0.0 cm long." I think I need a walking stick a bit longer than that. +Team Wildebeest
I got mine from Eastern Mountain Sports. Aluminum, telescoping, with a thick grip, and a cork knob on the top that unscrews to reveal a camera mounting screw. It extends from 2 feet to 5 feet and fits perfectly into a holster made from a carabiner on my backpack. Quote Link to comment
+Gozz
I havent been caching long but for a long while I used an old mop handle while hiking, worked like a charm and was free. Recently I was clearing some land and hard to cut down alot of very large boxwood shrubs--took a couple of the really straight ones dried them out for a while and they seem fine too but probably not as durable as some type of hardwood.
